What are the reasons? I always assumed Atlanta should be a straight destination...dudes like Howard and Paul should of been fighting to get there.

My friend who moved back from Atlanta a few years ago said it isn't how the rappers make it appear to be. He said it slow, not much to do and everything is out the way. One have to use the highway all the time. That's why one can get a mini-mansion 5/3.5 for around $350K. It doesn't seem ideal for a star but a struggle dude like myself desires that.

phillips arena may not be the facility the owners want but nothing is wrong with it, we getting a new football stadium soon and a baseball stadium just outside the city limits

miss me with that, mugs be living on the outskirts of big cities too, (La, houston, Dallas) atlanta not the only placce like that, plus the city is smaller than cities with smaller markets than us, (Charlotte, jacksonville, Minneapolis, Boston, San Franciso, Phoenix, detroit, Seattle, San Diego), so there is not a lot of places you can live

The sports team aren't worth a damn and all a mofo do as it seems is to go to the strip club. The education isn't the most competitive to other markets. Miami education is a piece of work too.

can't disagree with you there, no major employers in the city limits that aren't in the service industry

Other than the Dwight and Cp3 fiasco, how often have big free agents been available at the same time the Hawks have had Capspace? Thread should be "MY teams ownership makes inept moves from day one and doesn't know how to trade for talent."

Fellas in here crying about " bu bu we've never had a superstar"

That's what happens when you're happy about being a 7th seed and receiving first round exits for 30 years...CLOWNS.

ATL…overly
What are the reasons? I always assumed Atlanta should be a straight destination...dudes like Howard and Paul should of been fighting to get there.

As I said earlier, this isn't a franchise that has put a priority on winning a championship. Ever. Ted Turner was as close as it got, but when he sold to the Atlanta Spirit this franchise got even worse. Danny Ferry is the best GM we've had since Pete Babcock in the mid 90s and were STILL an afterthought in the East.

Atlanta as a city and destination is a great city...the dude who said his homeboy said Atlanta ain't how the rappers make it seem is one of the most ignorant statements I've read online. Atlanta has literally everything you could possibly want in a big city and is only getting better...it's an attractive market for a superstar free agent, we've just go to get the team to support that
