This guy knows...period.

Hip-hop & R&B stations are now pop stations...
So don't be shocked to hear Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith or Adele on those stations.

I wish people would talk about what things really are instead of trying to brainwash themselves trying to believe in something else (unnecessarily thinking outside of the box)

Say it and stop eating up the rhetoric. It's usually just abuncha Half-Truves foreal

She has a soulful voice, that's pretty much it. It's the same reason Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran got played. Hip Hop stations basically mean anything black people fukk with in 2016.

It has to be something clearly rooted in "black" sounds, which Adele, Sheeran and Smith clearly are.

What's funny about Sam Smith is that I had no idea that he was White until the day after he won the Grammy.

I knew I hated that shyt for a reason. I tried to convince myself not to despise it (before I knew who he was). It was churchy and it was about Love. But I just could never rock with it :pachaha:. Then when I found out that he was White I figured out why

whatever it is people seem to like it, i've heard other music playing on HOT 97 too before. shyt was sounding like some techno shyt and not even close to hip hop or r&b.
Hot 97 is garbage now.

Basically it's just trap, EDM mixshows on friday, maybe some bachatta and reggaeton for my boriquas...but as a hip-hop station it's done. Been done.

So i'm a militant for asking why Adele is getting play on Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B stations :skip:

I wonder if they play Future on country stations :ohhh:

Tha better question is how often is Future played on EDM radio and Top 40?

But we already know the answer to that so we gotta think of a better way to Approach AND Discuss this shyt
