In the SAME place where he says 'I'm only a Prophet. Don't worship me.'

I'm a theological noncognitivist so don't even know what a 'g-d' is aside from a literary device.

No.

The Islamic cult is stronger than the Christian one. Muslims are more willing to die for theirs more so than Christians.

Because Christians are supposed to LIVE for God, not die for Him. He sent Christ Jesus to die for us so that we won’t have to die. We have to be willing to live, that’s the difference. Living for God is way harder than dying for Him.

Because Christians pick and choose what they follow from their religion.
Everyone from every religion pick and chooses. Why just point out Christians? Plenty of my Muslim dudes drink, smoke and commit all types of sin like Christians. You cannot group every Christian in with those who arent living righteous.

That isn't Jesus, that's an angel. If you read verse 1, you'd see that for yourself. Barring that, if that was Jesus, as you think, then he was still a 'divine being' and not 'just' a Prophet.

John 8:58

“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Matthew 2:10-12

When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

Matthew 14:32-33

And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

as far as the OP goes, christians are supposed to turn the other cheek and forgive as opposed to punish others for misdeeds, at least relatively speaking in comparison to some other religions

If you are not 'well schooled', then why is John giving you issues?

meaning i wasnt raised Christian

as a quasi outsider, the different interpretations of Jesus being God or the Son of God [or both] is troublesome to me. i know there is consistency to be found there but its easy to see inconsistency using a less than well schooled eye

someone saying they existed before they were born..i dont know what to make of that. i could say that about myself or any human right now in that they existed as a concept or in a spiritual plane as a theory

him harkening back to the old testament reference by saying I am :manny:

How many of them could say this.....

Mark 14:61-64

Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.

Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”

“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

They all condemned him as worthy of death.

This is where being somewhat knowledgeable about the text helps. The phrase 'coming on the clouds of heaven' is how ancient people all over the Middle East/Mesopotamia referred to 'deities'.
