Ppl migrating from Santa Clara / San Francisco County are just moving to cheaper parts of the Bay area or Central Valley though .

Most ppl aren't leaving the state Im sure .

Ppl are choosing to commute from these places .. and that is brutal within itself :scusthov:
yep...commute from Sac town or Antioch....Antioch is no safe haven any more lol

I never understood clowns living somewhere they can barely afford to, when they could move to a city with a population of 200k and live more than comfortable.

I guess idiots just wanna say they live in a certain city.

Social media doesn't help either.
but think about this..even in the ghetto in the Bay...it's a million dollar home and take the profit and leave

2 places i wish I owned just one property in. That's the Bay and NYC. Owning property in even the worst of those areas and I probably wouldn't even have to work full time lol

The thing is that the jobs that existed in these areas aren't coming back. Before and after WWII, these cities were valuable because of their access to the ports. So there was a lot of industry. Companies shipped in tons of people, mostly white, from piss poor rural parts of the country to work for them. Affordable housing was built for them. That's all dried up now. Especially since manufacturing jobs have largely been shipped out of the country. Even before that, a lot of those jobs moved hundreds of miles away from the cities. Which by the way also helped to contribute to the decimation of black communities. This mess has been in the making for decades now and it's by design.

Real spit and another big part is the erosion of union jobs.

Also there has been a reverse course where high paying manufacturing jobs have moved out of the city and to rural areas and smaller cities. Corporations have done this as a means to reduce labor rates.

One big example of this is boeing moving manufacturing of some plane platforms from Seattle to South Carolina and Oklahoma city.

Why you might ask? Those states offered huge tax breaks, are not mandatory union states and have lower labor rates for operators, technicians and engineers.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Folks got roommates in places like San Fran, NYC, DC, etc. Only way to live in the city.

I don’t view the roommate thing as bad because those people choose to live like that and don’t mind it.

Plus they have mommy and daddy in the burbs Incase any thing goes wrong.

More times than most they are working to get top salary so it they succeed they eventually will make enough to get their own place eventually.

It just doesn't make sense to live paycheck to paycheck whether you're making 50K or 100K cuz even six figure earners are barely making it in some cities. You can stretch your money better in other places if you can work remotely or by taking a little pay cut but still living better.

Taking a pay cut to live better means nothing if you aren’t frugal.

The average American in all 50 states is living pay check to pay check. This is why I don’t pay attention to southern brehs who brag about cheap rent.

Why are people in cheap cities still broke living check to check?

should I break it down slowly.....i made 2 0 0 k when I worked.....t.h.a.t's n.o.t.hing in the bay....sorry can't help you out if you slow.

Do you mind breaking down your budget because I just took your salary and put it in The Income tax calculator using California and according to the numbers it shouldn’t be hard to get an apartment with a 200K salary. So I’m assuming everything else after rent is what messed you up? Did you have a car?

I also know the BART runs to Oakland and Oakland is a bit cheaper.

Are you frugal with money?

The fastest growing cities are places like Columbus, OH; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, Fort Worth, etc.

The largest metro areas aren't producing the same amount of jobs, especially lower-skilled jobs, that they used to. Other places in the US are producing jobs, and that's enough to ship migration.

Gotta be more specific here. You mean the largest metros aren’t producing the same amount as blue collar jobs?

My brother works at the head offices at Of a huge company in Minneapolis and has a CRAZY crib.

If he lived in SAN Fran or NYC he would be paying 3x as much for a fukking townhouse.

Same goes for my lil cousin in Nashville, she’s living good...

I’m watching all this from expensive ass Vancouver like :francis::mjcry:

Nashville has one of the fastest growing rent rates in the country.

Eventually it will be an expensive city.
