That all happened before America became a world power and around the time America was industrializing. But today none of that is happening. Middle America is sparsely populated and filled with wildlife today and most of the biggest national parks are in that area. Most of the densely populated areas in America are in the coastal areas.

And Europe killing off its wild animals happened way before the modern world, hell I would say ever since the spread of the Roman Empire. In todays modern world there are more protections for wildlife. Even in the least developed African countries. I agree fully that Africans need to be cautious. But I'm sure they will as their national parks are big money makers[world wide] and harming any wildlife would only harm their money.
Well yea, it did, but I'm just saying, industrialistion is dangerous in that it can cut down and kill many animals. Take a look at Brasil and its cutting down the amazon, which provides like 60% of oxygen to the planet. They literally had to start re-evaluating once they realised it was getting out of hand.

Someone earlier said Africa should be one dubai, hell no. Did you know the sahara was once a forest until the egyptians fukked all of that up. We need to still take care of the planet, its our home and very important. One can still live comfortable while protecting the environment. Africa is not densely populated, as I said before, a handful of cities within a country is enough, we don't need over 5 dozen cities like america.

Question do you want Africans to advance to the modern world?

I know the many negatives of industrialization but its an evil must.

Of course I want Africans to industrialize. How else will they become great powers? China paid the devil's bargain environmentally but it may pay off for their people in the long-term.

This question is not for you but @Clean Cut

Like I said industrialization is a MUST... Thats if Africans wanna stand on their own two feet in the modern world and compete with their European and Asian counterparts.

So far South Africa is the only industrialized African nation.

Take a look at europe as a whole and south america as a whole. I'd want africa to look more like south america. You don't need Africa to be coast to coast covered. It can be in pockets and be perfectly fine.

Congo can easily fit the definition of a superpower.
Lets discuss the potential of what is the Democratic Republic of Congo

They have the size, population, abundant resources among other things. Just a very incompetent government holding them back and external forces too..

And what do you mean "maybe", Africa had way more superpowers than you're letting on. Ancient Egypt was a world power at its height and unrivaledt. So was Kush until the Assyrians. Hell, Mali which controlled 2/3 of the worlds gold and was more of world power than Songhai. It can be argued that Axum was a world power since they were said to be the world powers along with Rome and Persia, not only that but they dominated the Indian Ocean seas.

Reality is that Africa will start to move forward as a continent once our country is allowed to fulfill its potential with no barriers put up. First step is Kabila has to go :camby: . A guy like Kabila is nothing that we haven't seen before in Africa - another shady dictator whom many of us believe is a Rwandan that loots the country just like Mobutu did. Problem is its DR Congo we're talkin about with the revenue we make from mining cobalt (we supply over 60 percent of it to the world) we should be in a far better position than we are now. This shyts been going on for over 2 decades now most of the revenue isn't making it to the treasury because these guys are looting the cash.

As little as 6% of the mining exports reach the national budget :gucci: . Kabila and his whole family own businesses in and out of the country so him stepping down as the leader of our country doesn't do too much :francis:

Countries like Rwanda don't help they clearly (Well Kagame) dont want to see us grow stronger than them.

From 2040 onwards things will start to heat up both in the continent of Africa and worldwide (purely economic talk here).. DR Congo will be a major player one way or another

Solar potential
Hydro potential
Wind potential
Geothermal potential
Biomass
Biogas

You name it and we've got the potential for it.. these other countries around us are too busy trying to keep us down they dont see the bigger picture.. if we start eating then everybody starts eating

@MansaMusa said it best. Congo needs a Mao Zedong like leader to unite the country.

The country closest to it was Libya with their potential to make nukes and the gold backed currency that Gaddafi was attempting to make, that was until the US stopped that shyt all the way. Tbh if Libya was here today and Gaddafi still stood as it's leader I believe we'd be arguing that Libya was a superpower. At this point the only nations in Africa that are advancing with little to no foreign involvement is Eritrea and North Sudan.
