Got a new gig, military but its political like a corporate environment.
What are some tips? In a way im at my supervisors mercy until i make some rank, because they have to train me and basically teach me my job. They kinda do the bare minimum, and are trying to prolong me from going to a mandatory school that teaches me about my job.
They called me when i was off like "Yea we feel like you dont have enough field experience, we want to push your school date back 2 months" They said this knowing im starting from ground zero and the formal school, thats mandatory will help me become more proficient at my job
i told em i wanna keep the date and they fell back.
What are some tips to keep in mind? I already volunteer for projects, show initiative, stay humble, work with the guys who been there for 20+ years, but some of em are still being difficult.
Don't confide in cacs, they will use your weaknesses against you.
- Document everything via email, don't agree to projects or tasks without email verification, otherwise it is he/said she/said and you will lose as a brehs.
- Don't drink and party with these cacs
- Don't get drawn into politics and whatnot, it will expose your trueself and they will paint you as "Angry Black Man"
All of this, do it initially, now I just walk to work with my chest puffed out like Killmonger as I have gained significant experience to ngaf....
