Had one earlier this week, could tell ol girl wasnt feeling me through the phone.

Was asking questions at the end and she was like "all these can be found on our website " in a hastily tone

When she asked when have i showed leadership, I said I teach/show young black youths how to deal with Cops these days. there was this long awkward pause :francis:

Was supposed to send my transcript after but got a email like 30 min later saying we have moved on.

Going through the same process they emailed me asking for a phone interview in the meantime I had to answer a 111 question behavior survey and then I finish the phone interview and then i have a in person interview than a 2 hour skill assessment like what the fukk is that.
good luck breh i think i failed my shyt because i dont think i recorded it correctly. knowing how heartless these companies operate i might not even be allowed to resubmit it, a nikka was stuttering like hell in that video as well :mjcry:

I have yet to actually have a worse interview. But i remember going in for an interview for retail. I answered the questions. Etc. And i shyt you not..this bytch kept interrupting me saying "okay" before i was even finished with my answers (they weren't long).

Getting hired at my current job, TSA, was pretty easy. First had to do a simple grammer, vocabulary and x-ray image test. Then do my physical then waited for about a year for my background check THEN it was the face to face interview where I was asked 4 simple questions (what would you do in this scenario, etc) by this smiley old lady. She told me they'll call for my orientation a few days later. It was pretty easy, just lengthy.

Most difficult one is the one I'm going thru for CBP (Customs Protection) you gotta do a video interview where your responses are timed, 2 fitness test, physical, then a POLYGRAPH test :stopitslime: they lucky they pay nice cause this shyt ridiculous.

Most good paying jobs are gonna ask you behavioral questions for which there are four important things to include in your answer.

Situation

Task

Action

Result

Once someone taugh me the STAR method my interviews have been a breeze.

STAR Interviewing Technique for Behavioral Job Interviews | QuintCareers

It's also a good idea to have some answers prepared for the more general questions they may ask, alot of good examples to work off of are here

Sample Behavioral Job Interview Questions | QuintCareers

I usually interview about 3 times a year. I have a good job but I'm always looking for something better

nikkas giving me some timed video interview that you only had 1 chance to complete 8 questions with 30 secs to prepare

nikkas giving me another video interview and their website kicking me off the interview every 5 mins

had an interview with coca cola and these nikkas started asking me math questions out the blue. nikka made no sense explaining the question :aicmon:

seems like every interview I've had with younger cacs around my age all are:mjpls:ing me

No disrespect but sounds like most of y'all need interview training. This is coming from someone who has had experience hiring people.

The reason she replied hastily is because you showed that you didn't do enough research on the company you're applying for. The best way you can show you're serious about working somewhere is to tell them their business. Tell them their expansion plans, their history, and anything relevant to the department you're applying for. Try to weave it into conversation so it sounds natural.

Example

Interviewer: what are your goals in the career field?

You: Well I'd like to get well versed in international logistics and aligning a company's goals to the economics of other countries. I understand your company is looking increase its global footprint and especially increase its market share in the Asian pacific realm which is one of the reasons I'm interested in working here.

In that example you showed that you've thought about your career AND how this company fits into it plus that you've cared enough to do your homework on the company. It shows you really give a fuk and you're not just there for a pay check.

As for teaching black youth about the cops and how to deal with it them...

First off :salute:prociate you giving back and uplifting our young ones.

Second white people get nervous about that ish for obvious reasons but there are ways to say almost the exact same thing without them getting in a wad about it.

Say something like:

I work with intercity youth (black code word) we teach different self empowerment programs so they don't get fall victim to dangerous elements in the community.

When you say it this way it sounds more like Sandra Bullocks character in Blind side and less like Bobby Seale

Do you get nervous? What was your best interview and worst? Ever had to take a skill assessment?

best interview was the one that got me my current job
i was only supposed to meet for a hour with the head of HR and hiring manager..i ended up staying for 4 hours and they threw everyone in my now current team at me...usually they keep you that long and they have ALOT of interest...got the job roughly 9 days later that put me in a whole new salary bracket :wow:

worst interview was a job i interviewed for 10 years ago
it was a job that mentioned having unix skills as an optional but not required..i thought to myself ok no problem i knew a little bit about unix....when i got there the dude who interviewed started throwing unix questions at me which had me like  then sat me at the terminal to test..needless to say i left that place knowing tight as mufukka knowing for sure i was not getting a call back. learned a valuable lesson that day...whatever skills are required make sure im solid in them..first and last interview that ill fail a skills assessment test
