best interview was the one that got me my current job
i was only supposed to meet for a hour with the head of HR and hiring manager..i ended up staying for 4 hours and they threw everyone in my now current team at me...usually they keep you that long and they have ALOT of interest...got the job roughly 9 days later that put me in a whole new salary bracket :wow:

worst interview was a job i interviewed for 10 years ago
it was a job that mentioned having unix skills as an optional but not required..i thought to myself ok no problem i knew a little bit about unix....when i got there the dude who interviewed started throwing unix questions at me which had me like  then sat me at the terminal to test..needless to say i left that place knowing tight as mufukka knowing for sure i was not getting a call back. learned a valuable lesson that day...whatever skills are required make sure im solid in them..first and last interview that ill fail a skills assessment test
you gotta have a heart of steel for this dirty game, that feeling after travelling several miles suited and booted to an interview and being hit with an assessment you cant pass and walking out like fuk aint no hope in hell in getting this job. legit makes my stomach sink breh :mjcry:

Never had a "bad" interview, I dont get nervous, I get anxious, I go in like the jobs already mine & they wont take it from me... I murder interviews...

My high school focused on school-to-work training, we did mock interviews with actual company owners & got written assessments on performance & if theyd consider hiring us... I took what I learned & tailored it to me... Once I graduated I only took 1 L & it was my fault... The job I have now I had to do 3 interviews with multiple bosses & vice prez...

Hardest question for me is "What are your weaknesses??"

I finally learned what they are looking for in answer when they ask that stupid ass question

"I jerk off at work and browse dating sites looking for sexual partners"

Do you get nervous? What was your best interview and worst? Ever had to take a skill assessment?
1. Be prepared.
You don't prepare, you will most likely screw up your interview.
2. Don't worry if you screw up your interview.
You get experience from failure. No one is a professional interviewer. But learn from your mistake or mistakes. That prepares you for your next interview.
I get nervous.
Best interview is when I nail all the questions with good answers.
Worst interview is when I have big gaps in silence trying to think of a good answer.
I've taken skill assessments. I usually don't do well.

The question isn't hard to answer they just dont word it properly. what they really asking is what bad habits do you have at work and how do you plan to solve them? not sure why they dont just ask it like that :beli:
These are my to go answers when asked it never got any complaints :manny:
1. "im a perfectionist and have a habbit wanting everything i do to be perfect, meanwhile time is ticking on and im not able to move on to other tasks so im working on it by learning how to prioritize effectively:yeshrug:"
2."I have a very approachable demeanor so my collegues feel no way to approach me to ask for help, I love to help but often get sidetracked i need to be assertive and refrain from dropping my work to help others when i have heavy workload" :yeshrug:

Worst interview I had was one for a A. Duie Pyle. First off :snoop: at being a software developer at a trucking company not named FedEx/Ups. But they used some shytty propriety language/framework that wouldn't be a transferable skill after I bounced eventually. And all their employees looked and acted like Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley. Basically I would have stood out like s ore thumb, wouldn't have built any skills, and the name being on my resume wouldn't mean shyt. The recruiter basically set me up for a L

But yea they had me doing white board questions for over 2 hours.....straight. A company like Google or Facebook may have you do 2 hours or so of total white boarding, but they at least will break it up. Mix up the questions, let you get a cup of water...something! :damn:
After bout the first hour i just started bullshytting. they wasted my time so i might as well waste theirs too

Not sure what the best interview I ever had was, probably one where me and the interviewers just built on a personal level. My current gig the interview was part conversational, part technical discussion and they had a cool design discussion portion. They had me white board and walk thru the design of an elevator system. It allowed me and the interviewer to communicate our way through a problem using a mechanism everyone understands (or think they do). It was something like this : python-elevator-challenge/README.md at master · mshang/python-elevator-challenge · GitHub

Thats what I do breh & those are my "Go To" answers.... I basically meant for different jobs you gotta answer different...For my current job, those the best answers.... In my Rehab Tech, if you said those youre instantly gone.... to them its...

1: Im so focused on this Im not able to prioritize & perform all my tasks.... "We have a timeline, no thanks"
2: I have a habit to get sidetracked helping collegues & drop my workload til its heavy...."No priorities"
aint a worse combo in that field...

They had a breh come to an interview wit the foreman & breh wore the business suit, shoes & tie.... Sent his ass home cause he came to the site tryin to look good but had no work gear....

I was trained to "turn a strength into a weakness"... just meant finding the right combo can be hard sometimes....

must be some senior positions you applying to for them to get like that breh most employers dont even scrutinize your answers like that unless it makes no sense and doesn't relates to the question.

edit: passed the video interview brehs im gon be invited to an assessment day :blessed:

Nah, went to school for Carpentry/Construction & did Residential Rehab Tech, I actually trained on a work site... Boss broke this down, hed never hire someone that cant answer those right... If you get assigned an area, youre expected to get all your tasks done on schedule & not be sidetracked doin other peoples jobs... I used...

1: Im my own worst critic, Ill get it done right but I always feel like I couldve done better...
2: My work ethic, sometimes I have to be reminded to take breaks or slow down cause once I start I get in my zone...

Good luck on the assessment breh....

My interview is Friday for a senior position and I am still trying to figure out what the hell is going to be on the skills assessment for two damn hours. This is for a system analyst position but how can you decipher someone talent when systems are different across the board. For example my current hospital uses Cerner and the new place uses Epic.

Cant help you there breh... Is it a bad look to ask them what system they use ahead of time??? Been a long time since I did anything close to that...

The work I do assessments are majority physical...
