Being calm, confident and prepared is some cliche shyt but very applicable. Once I get there and meet the interviewer, I imagine that I'm talking to someone I know about a job I want.

Stress throws me off my game so getting over that was the biggest help for me.

Yeah learned that just be yourself. Strange with me I was more nervous meeting the colleagues instead of the higher ups and directors

The fukked up thing about Jobs today is - They talk about who will train you, introduce you to the staff you would be working with, tour the entire campus including top secret areas , laughing with some of the staff in the interview, manager talking about detail data center infrastructure and expansion with you...

shyts fukked up when you go through all that shyt for hours and not get picked :mjcry:

-Applied for job at walmart
-Two days later got the callback to come in for interview the next day

So I hop out of bed like:gladbron::blessed:....... Feeling like a new person, bursts of energy and feeling good again about life. I even put on some tupac blasting loudly in the AM. :pachaha:

For a job at walmart, I know.:manny:

Got no sleep the night before the interview.

Didn't get the job:to:, The interview went bad so fast.

Never felt so worthless, a nikka can't even get hired at walmart.

No need to go into detail unless you really would like to know.

Fast forward to today, the same walmart called me and asked if I was interested in the position, so I tell the woman yeah, she says can you come in Monday, I say yeah... Then I fukked up my second shot by opening my mouth and I tell her I had been interviewed about a week ago for a position and that I was told I wouldn't be a good fit for the job by one of the managers. She asked who had interviewed me... I tell her I don't remember. She then says let me jot down your number and I Will call you back.

Then I asked Will you call back today, she says yeah.

This was five hours ago. :to:

I kill every interview. I google and study as much as I can about the company. If I know the person who's interviewing me I look up linkedin profiles and personal info. If the interviewer went to a certain college, I plug in a fake friend or relative that went or goes to the same school. If they're from another state I plug references/stories to that state. I basically lie and bullshyt them to death with sympathy stories just to play with their emotions. I bring up shyt that has nothing to do with the interview. One time I spent 15 minutes talking about Game Of Thrones :dead: because this cac made a brief reference to the show. I lied and told him I just started binge watching it :russ: I play the patriot card by bring up my military experience and old military stories. I lie and make up stories about non existent top secret shyt :deadrose:

People who do interviews don't know what the hell they're looking for half the time other than if they feel comfortable around you or not. I usually don't get the job do to them promoting from within and interviewing outsiders because they half to or the pay or schedule isn't what I want. :manny: Oh... and If I'm not feeling the vibe of the company or the person interviewing me I switch to :mjpls: mode and simply go through the motions.

I used to get MAD nervous during interviews.

Had to really read books on overcoming fear.

Now I'm whatever about it. The worst thing that can happen is you don't get the job.

Also....if you overprepare for interviews (going over like 100 of the most common questions, learning everything about the company), you'll stop feeling stressed about it.

I just had a telephone interview. :snoop:

I already have an offer with another major IT firm paying good money, however I would have preferred this one.

Anyway, I got a lil anxious and did a bit too much

because the two guys interviewing me sounded too serious and weren't exactly jovial lol. They said it was nice speaking to me and that I gave good answers, but ehh, iono. :francis:

I don't think it's gonna progress any further, but fukk it. If it ain't meant to be, it ain't meant to be. :manny:

At least something else is already coming.

Do you get nervous? What was your best interview and worst? Ever had to take a skill assessment?
I used to get nervous because I’ve come from a position of weakness but now... I can handle it better plus I’ll lie and ask for God’s forgiveness afterwards because these folks aren’t playing fair at all.

Or I will just tell the truth and God will give me what is for me. I’ll go with the latter.
