My interview is Friday for a senior position and I am still trying to figure out what the hell is going to be on the skills assessment for two damn hours. This is for a system analyst position but how can you decipher someone talent when systems are different across the board. For example my current hospital uses Cerner and the new place uses Epic.

I use to work around Cerner and Epic, I use to be over epic gateway interfaces that were connected to the cow's, clinics, etc
I think it was a government mandate to switch all hospitals to Electronic Health Record or something, they should have what they use on their website.

most interviews are shams

The interviewers are usually ill prepared, inflexible if the answer that you give them doesnt match their predetermined answer and ask about situations that dont apply to the tasks that you will encounter in the job you are applying for

good luck in your efforts brehs and brehettes

I ace them. I come early, dress appropriately, research the company and have my interview Q&A ready. I also ask questions.

Remember, you are also interviewing them. You have to act as if you are an asset to the company without being arrogant.

I just did one & it went well. I was interviewed over the phone by guys who actually do the job. Since the job I am applying for is in the same industry as my current job, we were able to talk shop & relate. The worst interviews I find are when you are being interviewed by some chick in HR, who doesn't have a clue about the job & is just asking generic, paint by numbers questions. She is looking for a textbook answer to a question that has nothing to do with actual role. Third party hire companies are just as bad.

How the hell you do that? Did they ask you any questions regarding to what you lied on your resume.
Yeah they did but i lied about stuff i was actually knowleadgeble about so i was avle to play it off. I practice my answers in he mirror so i didnt come off unprepared or awkward

Interview went smooth they grilled a dude something serious and I was stumbling a little like Lebron in the 4th but I regain my composure.

The assessment test :dwillhuh:. They asked some dumb ass questions like if person A left from room 1 and person B left from room 75 and person A travel 5 steps a minute and B traveled 10 steps a minute... How long until they meet? Wtf is that shyt i just skim through that shyt.

Got emailed for a second interview this week.
