It shouldn't be but it feels like make or break like someone said earlier. With how much time Sanchez got that's criminal. Jets should draft a TE and sign Maclin to a 1 or 2 year deal and I bet we see an improvement in Geno's game. He just needs to cut out the knucklehead plays and he can be an above average QB.

When you get benched as a rookie, and they have no capable qb behind you, that's a bad look. hey went from airing it out in beginning than Geno shyt the bed against the Titans, they went conservative for rest of the season. Gen would have games where he only threw ball like 12 times. Marty believes in throwing the football, it had to hurt him running the ball so much.

He has potential, but he needs a lot of work, footwork definitely.

That QBR shyt is very lame, made up E!spn stat to try and give that network some shine.

Now that being said, he has a lot of potential. I saw in him last year what I never saw in Sanchez. He is a true leader and shows a lot of toughness and composure at times. He has the physical ability to be a good QB and has some intangibles, but he still has flashes of trash ass play.

He needs to limit the turnovers in year too and his game will take off. Many people like to blame the supporting cast, but he had very good games with that same supporting cast. I say he wasn't ready for the league in week 1, but was forced to play.

Biggest thing he needs to work on, decision making.

He didn't have many good games. Those games coincided with Kerely being on the field, and his receivers were always hurt. His supporting cast was pure ass. Half those dudes (Winslow, gates, salas, etc) won't be in the NFL next season.

He's definetly a better option than Sanchez....he looked good at times and terrible at others. Basically like most rookies do :yeshrug:. He does have to show some improvement in his second year tho otherwise he might not get a third

When is year 2 a make or break year for a guy? Aaron Rodgers didn't even play for like 2 full years. Eli was pooh for the first 3 or 4 years. Damn. NY media expectations are brutal.

So you expect me to watch coaches film?

I saw him play well with a bad cast at times.

I`ll quit my job and do the coaches all 22 angles on every Jets game asap though

Over exaggeration about quitting your job. Corny.

Second...what games did he play well with the unnamed scrubs you haven't even mentioned?

This is the coli. QBs need to be developed by year 1 or 2.

The QBR statistic isn't "lame". It's more inclusive than the QB rating statistic which only factors in throwing efficacy. QBR includes this metric in its calculations, as well as considers running ability. So if nothing else QBR provides a bigger picture of a QBs game.
