Phil Fish better keep his mouth shut unless he wants to shut down a tremendous FREE marketing service for indies. There's a reason companies like Activision and other titans aren't shutting down these streams and Nintendo ended up changing their policy towards streaming. Marketing is expensive. Go ahead and shut down a free avenue to reach millions of people if you want to. There will be some developer who is smart enough to look at it for what it is, which is free promotion.
Exactly. Gaming youtubers have been given permission by gaming studios that allows them to post these videos and monetize.
Reading this thread really made my head hurt. Alot of misinformed opinions in here.

@Prodigal SyndicateStudios need to be cut into the revenue. Gamers are hurt because that money is being taken out of developers pockets and into some idiot youtubers pocket. Less money going to studios means less games being made.
This developer's beef is with the gaming studio he works for. The monetization of gaming youtubers videos have been APPROVED by the gaming studios, which means A. the studio is receiving some of the ad money or B. they believe the videos benefit the overall sales of their games or maybe a mix of both
