That Pierre dude, all his beats sound the same, I think he use the same drum pattern every time.

i like pierre , he's carving out hs own style, just like mexicodro and lex luger, mustard etc

his beats have a good bounce to them

its good for guys to have an official sound that lets you know that's their beat

and magnolia and woke up like this

Someone in here legit said Madlib. :wtf:

anyone saying madlib is lazy is an idoit, no diss

madlib has a huge discog, he uses different hardware and instruments , he also has different styles, he can do the chops or he can do the simple loops with no drums, madlib has mad different styles, just listen to his beat konducta albums and then switch to the shades of blue album and then if you really about that life listen to his lootpack stuff, its all different

madlib fans should know this

So Cal
nas is like does not sound like come clean and come clean does not sound like keep it personal and keep it personal does not sound like mass appeal

we can keep going
you could do that for every producer who will be named in here.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
As someone who makes sample based beats as a hobby, you dudes are showing a little ignorance. First of all, it's damn near impossible to listen to a beat and determine the producer was being lazy. Being a producer is sort of a thankless job. You can spend hours or literally days looking for the right sample. Then you might fukk around and spend hours finding the right hi hat or snare to fire. Then you might have to layer them or tweak them. So the consumer may hear a snare drum, but they don't know that you went through a library of hundreds of snare drums to find the perfect one, the slightly lowered the pitch, them layerd it with a hi hat or wood instrument to tweak the sound. Then spent more time getting the levels right. Just for the snare! But the listener will not know this unless they seen you making ththe beat.

Now I'm not saying producer can't be lazy. I'm saying that as a consumer, you can't tell by listening to the beat. Even if the beat is "simple"
Took words out of my mouth.
