I grew up listening to East coast groups, and some West coast acts because my dad did some articles for hip-hop magazines. But I never really knew much about the Bay and their scene until like the early 00's some one hip me.

@Ronnie Lott I know you're from the bay (I think) educate a breh.

Man OP thanks for making this thread because man I need to know this as well.

I moved to the Bay to go to school. One thing I love about the Bay is that they show love to everyone. I'm a NYC cat and when I go out out here I always get shown love. Idk, i guess it's the chill vibes of Cali. But man, what I truly love is when I go to the clubs or parties and some Bay Area songs come out...they go CRAZY. Let some Mac Dre, Mistah Fab, e40 some Too Short come on...everyone goes crazy and gets "hyphy" or some shyt like that and start gyrating moving side to side and shyt. Idk i just love it it's like a sense of pride they have. I view it as if a Capone n Noriega. AZ, Lox, Big Pun, Nas, Mobb Deep, Biggie song comes out for us NY cats. Anyways I respect it man Bay Areaaaaaaaa
