...then you won't listen to this, so for everyone else:

The above poster is correct in the way that all of your decisions and choices are yours to make and you have to live
with the outcomes of such.

HOWEVER - LISTEN when you need to!

Not saying "do what people tell you", but LISTEN! Everybody in the world knows something about something.
It's the "Broken Clock" Theorem. And even so, most "clocks" aren't broken.

If you know a crackhead (seriously, i'm lol'ing at all the crackhead refs in here), listen to what they say about crack.
If you know a hustler, listen to what they say about getting money.
Listen to how married AND divorced people you know talk about marriage.

Dig - older people learn chit from younger people the same way.

Don't be too headstrong to where you miss some good game.

I did say this may come off wrong.... touche .... nice one ...

And i did say i value people's opinions and experiences.. but listen to can be taken several ways

Some people feel when they give you advice you should do what they say because they're older, more experienced and know more...

I drop this analogy myself. Because an expert, is still an expert.

Even if you look down on them, but if they are good at something, that's not something you should down play.

1.Master a craft/skill that you love and the money will come.
2.Your degree doesn't entitle you to shyt... As it stands you have no commercial achievements.. You have a peice of paper.. Who doesn't.
3.Don't be afraid to ask for what you want.
4.If someone gives you an opportunity in a professional environment.. Bust your ass and don't let them down.. Don't let anyone regret giving you a chance.

Whenever u are trying your best to accomplish something and it seems like u just cant get your goal accomplished....always remember the crackhead. The crackhead could wake up broke with no money and no crack in the morning...But somehow...someway...By the end of the day...The crackhead gets that crack. Now the obstacles that the crackhead had to go thru just to get that crack is irrelevant...They were determined by the end of the day to achieve their goal and they achieved it. You too can acheive your goals with determination, dedication and discipline ....never forget the drive of a crackhead.
lowkey one of the best analogies I've seen on this site and when it comes to motivating oneself. im stealing it

to be honest, " Networking " is probably the most overrated thing in my life time. Making connections strictly for the purpose of making connections is a waste of everybody's time and incredibly transparent. People should make connections because there's a reason for them to communicate in the future, not just go to networking events get cards phone numbers and have coffee later. It's really fake to me and I can't stand networking for the sake of saying that you were networking.

People who network as a verb are incredibly corny to me.

Networking can be transparent and can be overrated, but mingling is not.

If its casual with no agenda...enjoy yourself...you only live once.

I'm not only talking about network just to network. Having a relationship with your classmates in college or joining a club and or frat is networking.
