Because they can't afford NYU :heh:

Wait, didn't you just say NYU gives "better" financial aid?

And now NYU is better because people can't afford it?

So which is it? :heh:

Academically stronger students + higher percentage of needs met + clear victor in cross-admit battles = Georgetown

And the sad thing is, no one is even arguing that NYU is a bad school. NYU and Georgetown are basically on the same tier. Private, non-ivy research universities with solid rep.

No, you mistook what I said. I said NYU has low ranking BECAUSE they don't give aid

Academically stronger students ? Ever heard of sample size? 14k less students and not even a 100 pt difference in SATs :heh:

Why the fukk would there be a 100 point difference? I'm not arguing that NYU is a significantly inferior school. I'm arguing that they're basically the same tier.

Also, there's that whole "SAT scores don't go above 800" thing. So when you're comparing two of the better schools in the country, you probably won't be getting a difference of 100 points.

Because there are 14k less students in the average.

You're still failing to explain why the fukk that matters. Yes, it's a smaller sample size because it's a smaller population to begin with. The only thing that proves is Georgetown has smaller class sizes with students beat NYU kids at the SAT per head.

And you're still failing to get that SAT scores are capped. Schools that are essentially on the same tier, which is what I'm fukking arguing, will not have a difference of 100 points.

The fact that you can't wrap your head around how irrelevant your argument is doesn't reflect well on your NYU education.

The fact that you don't know the statistical significance of the mean and median doesn't reflect well on your HS education.

The fact that you just used the term "statistical significance" incorrectly/imprecisely in that sentence invalidates same.
