I’ll be starting back hiking next week depending on energy levels. Hiking can be treacherous. You think u going for a nice walk in the woods. Next thing you know, u walking up a steep ass mountain. :mjlol:

them hikes can add up if you do it constantly. and dont get in the mindset of "I just did this workout ill reward myself with some wings or something"
gotta stay disciplined with what you eat

I did Keto back end of 2018 and found it very difficult. The weight dropped off me but I was moody as shyt, had horrible energy levels and found gym difficult to maintain. Also, I didn't realise how few 20g of carbs really is. An apple fukks your entire day.

Good luck breh, be keen to see your progress
Yeah the drop in energy is REAL. shyt is no joke but it’s gotten better for me with drinking more water.

Yupp. Its like a moderate fat diet, instead of a high fat diet like Keto

Plus high protein makes you more satiated and full, thus making it easier to not overeat

Its basically Meat, Fish, Eggs, Low carb vegetables, Quest Bars and Beef Jerky for snacking, and very little fruits

High protein, low carbs, with intermittent fasting = AMAZING :wow:
Yep. This is basically what I’m doing now. I’ll see how I’m still feeling by the end of this first week!

I did it for a month and lost around 30 pounds, I gave up when the quarantine hit :manny: might start up again but I hate having to cook every meal because nowhere takeout is keto
Yeah I cook a lot anyway so that part isn’t bad. To be honest, keto cooking has actually been easier for me b/c there are less ingredients and less preparation. Not a lot of processed foods or grains to prepare.

Ok awesome

How are you doing the intermittent fasting. Is it a 16/8 cycle? What time of day are you beginning and ending your meals?

I eat after 11:00am and stop eating at 6:00pm. Hell now that I’m counting that’s actually a bit stricter...lol but it works b/c it’s not too late for breakfast and I don’t really get hungry late at night.

That’s what we are going for!

I will say that if you do any weight training, and trying not to break ketosis, eat more veggies on that day. For me, weight training on keto wasn't fun. I didn't have the same energy as when my lunch was salmon, brown rice and collard greens.

Started this shyt with a 12 hour daily fast last Sunday.

I dropped 8lbs and only put in outside workout two days. I'm dizzy as fukk as well as hungry. This week I've ordered shyt to make some shakes for breakfast and lunch.

I'm going to the store today to buy different types of fish and more spinach, cheese, avocados, and eggs.

If you got daily meal tips or recipes do tell.

Breakfast for me has been protein shakes
I’ve also done scrambled cheese eggs (one egg, one egg white)
Dinners have been steak or salmon and loaded salad (boiled eggs, French onions (tiny bit), cucumbers, tomatoes, feta, spinach, sundried tomatoes, spring mix lettuce, peppers, crumbled bacon)

I also did Asian cabbage dumplings. Basically boil and season cabbage leaves in miso soup mix and beef boullion and wrap them around breakfast sausage mixed with minced garlic and ginger and allspice. Bake in the oven.

Also pork belly ramen is good with the shiratake noodles mentioned in this thread. I’ll keep posting recipes in this thread.

-Cut up ur veggies and eggs when u have energy and then it’s easy to just brown meat and pair it with a big salad.

-Drink a gallon or more of water per day.

-Vitamins and a LOTTA sleep
-I’ve also stopped artificial sweeteners because I think they made my craving worse. I dunno if that makes sense but that’s how I felt.

We OUTCHEA!

I’ll be starting a light weight lifting regimen on Wednesday with dumbbells at home. I’ll make sure I’m veggied up!

Day 5

Food today so far has been leftovers. Thank God for leftovers!
-Cheese eggs and bacon
-Premier Protein Shake
-Dinner will be leftover steak and beef ramen and salad.

Very little meal prep. Just warm up the steak, rinse and put noodles in broth. Put salad on a plate.:wow::whoo::whew::dead:
