Couple things that are keto staples to me:

Avocados
macadamia nuts
Avocado mayo
Eggs
Ribeyes
Fat fuel coffee or matcha
Bone broths
Stevia
Apple Cider Vinegar
Avocado Oil
Olive oil
Kerry gold butter
Hearts of Palm pasta

you probably know this but always read the ingredients. If you don’t know what something is google it. Sugar alcohols can still spike insulin. Haven’t read your updates yet but have you been sleeping regularly since you started?

So I ended up buying those little keto strips that you can pee on. I’m at a burgundy color which is supposed to indicate you’re producing moderate levels of ketones or something like that.
So I think I’m in there. So far I’ve lost 11 lbs. I’ll weigh myself again next week.

It’s funny you mention sleep. I’ve been sleeping like 9 hours straight. Lmao! No choice b:c energy levels were low as hell.
Also, I’m totally updating my grocery list. I’m all about the Kerry Gold Butter and bone broths. Thanks for the suggestions! One thing I’m having difficulty with is eating enough. It’s crazy because one thing I’m noticing about this diet is it kinda zaps your appetite.
I break my fast at 11:00am after a light workout. 3 sets of 6 different exercises/8 reps (squats, lunges, push ups, arm curls, plank, crunches,).

I'm familiar with the bland ass noodles and like I said once the quarantine over I'll smash only if you lose the weight. Keto isnt a magic bullet I was on the diet for a yr even bought ketone strips.I still got Bulletproof MCT oil my uric acid went through the roof and I had symptoms of gout .I suggest you get blood work done if you can.I combined it with IF to try to cut ,but most likely you will end up gaining everything you lost back if you should decide to eat like a modern human being.

Afterwards you pretty much have to get blood work done to test for ketones as you mentioned. My friends and I started this as a challenge. One of em already stopped. He said he couldn’t even get through a workout.

As for IF, my eating window is from 11:00am-6:00pm and I’m pretty strict about that.
The tricky part about this is trying to eat enough to get all your macros in without overdoing it in any one area. I do have some MCT oil that I add to my coffee. I’ll see where I am at the end of May!

It’s the IF. Trying not doing it for a couple of days. You don’t want your body to get use to it. Just switch on and off changing from 16 to 18. Possibly going a couple days with out it. You’re a lucky person cause I couldn’t sleep for shyt for the first couple of weeks. Body was wired of energy. Now I’m good. I have too much energy during the day and hit my workout after work and go right to sleep.
