I’m not a fan of the high fat either but I only track carbs and calories. I don’t force myself to eat high fat and when I do it’s mostly olive oil to cook my food in or occasional mct oil.
I lost a ton a weight doing this right after I had my baby without eating all the fats. If the diet is done right using good fats, a person will be fine. Keto actually helps both patients with heart disease and diabetes you should do research and read up on people who have been eating this way for years and are perfectly healthy.

There are good fats and bad fats. Big misconception of keto is “oh you can eat pork rinds, cheeses, and super fatty meats”. Oil from an avocado, macadamias, olive oil and salmon are different from fats from cheddar cheese, vegetable oil, and shytty dairy.

Naw just look at the studies. The cac Jillian Michaels went on a rant against keto and how it isn’t healthy for you, but in the video confesses that it does help with diabetes and hard disease. Turns out she sells fat burning pills :russ: just do some research Brotha. There is “dirty keto” and “clean keto” most people who aren’t serious will do dirty keto and quit and say it wasn’t for them. But of course Keto isn’t for everyone. Just like the carnivore diet isn’t for me. Ain’t gonna bash it tho. People gonna to what best for them.

The only thing about it helping people with diabetes is that their bodies don’t function the same as others due to diabetes so it’s not a 1 for 1 with someone who isn’t diabetic. Women do need to be careful with keto (and IF for that manner) because some studies show it can screw up there hormones. Not saying they can’t but should definitely know there medical history first. That said I don’t think a lot of people truly eat Keto but more low carb.

Keto actually regulated my period. I had pcos prior to this diet. All my symptoms are gone. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure after having my son, after doing this diet for a few months my blood pressure had went back to normal. No meds. Was diagnosed with gerd and could barely swallow food. Symptoms gone. I did a yearly physical with blood work last year after doing this diet, all good. I’m suppose to go back for a endoscopy for my throat. I’m sure they will see healing. I can only speak for myself but it changed my life for the better. I’ve seen reviews of people who have been eating this way for years. If it works for you cool if it don’t it don’t. Unless your a doctor or a nutritionist fukk off.

Here’s the crazy part, as I’m continuing to do my reading on stuff, there are literally studies that argue for the benefits of cheese/other foods AND against it.

But all jokes aside, I’m only trying it short-term and reporting back on the effects.

I’m also aiming to get at least 3-4 servings of fruits and veggies this week. Last week I did a lot of big huge salads along with my meats.

So a lot of this will be a more modified version of keto. Moderate fats (coconut oils, natural fats from meats, nuts and veggies), high protein (eggs, organic fish, steak, pork, chicken), and carbs from veggies (salad, cucumbers, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, ect)
Surely that won’t kill me in the next 20 days...right?

a Keto doesn’t mean carb-less nor does it mean its a strict diet you follow all year around.

you take breaks, have cheat days, and you still eat carbs just much less.

And yes, you’re supposed to eat lean fats... not french fries, grease, etc. its big lean meals with fat and protein... most of my protein and fat came from ground turkey, beans, eggs, low fat cheese, tuna, salmon/fish, shrimp, etc.

and then protein shakes with a decent amount of lean fat with low carbs.

about a month with my regular workout routine and I was trim

These dudes don’t even work out but will tell you how to do something on here

Most Women report not getting a period at all on keto. Mine is actually regular. I had to take a supplement to get pregnant. Before my son I had one period a year. After my son I had none. Once I started this diet I had a period within a couple weeks.

Girl that alone is worth it.

Day 9

Yesterday was Day 9 on week 2 and I gotta LOT more energy. This week is totally fukking different from last week. Feel so much better.

Yesterday here’s what I ate:
Breakfast-11:00am
-Premier Protein cafe latte flavored shake

Brunch-1:00
-Hazelnut coffee-2 tbsp heavy cream and monk fruit sweetener
-Veggie egg omelet. 1 egg/1 egg white, 2 cups spinach, 1/2 mushrooms, 1/2 onions, 1/2 imported feta and aged cheddar. Salt, pepper, butter, garlic and onion powder.
-One pasture raised sausage patty (whole foods)

Dinner-5:00pm
-6 oz butter/thyme ribeye steak
-Side Greek salad-(romaine, spinach, feta, boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, sun-dried tomatoes, peppers tossed in two tbsp of Olive Garden Italian dressing.)
-Baked Jicama (‘hick-ka-ma) fries- These took a LOT of work but were tasty in the end. Jicama is a tuber jokingly called a “Mexican” potato. But really to me it tastes and crunches like an apple. It has very few carbs and with some work you can make fries with them. They are actually pretty tasty raw too.

The problem is all the white people recipes online were NASTY when I tried them a few years ago. So I doctored em.

First I boiled these hard ass motherfukkers in low sodium beef broth, water, garlic powder, onion powder, vinegar, any other seasoning in my pantry, (Ms. Dash, Lowerys). EVERYTHING.

I boiled them for an hour. STILL HARD AS FUKK. But tasty. They soaked up the flavor beautifully. So I kept boiling them motherfukkers.
STILL HARD! Finally, they began to be a little less hard.:stopitslime: But still a little hard.:deadmanny:

Afterwards, I experimented with two different batches. Baked and deep fried. Both results were delicious. Sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese and parsley on them and good stuff.

I blanched and froze the deep fried and the rest for another day.
A handful of Baked jicama fries is like 3 carbs.

it’s like nobody wants to actually put in the effort to go outside and workout. All types of shortcuts :mjlol:

keto is bullshyt, and horrible for women. My brothers girlfriend is an MD she advocates against this shyt.
