Most of the Army recruits have a reason other than patriotism for signing up. I needed a way to care for my family, my homeboy got caught with dope and took the option to join the Army, my other homeboy had nothing going on and needed something to do.
We're all better off because of it. Everything you do will have sacrifices and I have no qualms with mine.

you still need to be physically in shape to handle alot of the equipment tho, even some of the environments these brehs are in can be brutal, who wants to be so out of shape that the weather in the middle east got you clapped up in the hospital?

And it's still a point to maintain discipline, staying in shape takes focus and self control

I'm very aware. People in the replies to that tweet pointed that out as well.
My post wasn't in criticism of the military in any way, especially as a large part of my family has served in all branches. Compared to most people who I've talked to my family probably has had the most members of the military, so I've met my fair share of people and talked about their reasons for joining.

I'd say most people who sign up DON'T want to go to war. I think that ain't even limited to our army, but many people around the world serving in their's.
Only the true psycho want to get shipped out into a combat One. I'm not denying they don't exist, but it is small a number compared to everyone else.
We just like talking shyt to each other but it's all love. We all seem to forget about Coast Guard though
