What good is a push up when the military is reliant on drones to kill their enemies...:manny: they got lazy so it is what it is...

The thread title is horseshyt.

I was considered "obese" because my neck wasnt that big when taped. I ran a 15:30 2 mile, did 70 pushups in 2 minutes, and 68 situps in 2 minutes. Basically I was pretty much in shape and much stronger than most, but that tape test and "preferred weight" for height got me and many others caught up.

Where It’s Not Safe
I knew the military was getting worse with weight requirements when I saw my first fat Marine after doing a training excercise in Hawaii. I was like wow that shyt is like a rare Pokemon. Then I saw another one here & there. It probably got worse since I ETSed in 2016.

And if the Marines get soft, we’re ALL screwed. :francis:

As for the Army? There was fat pieces of shyt EVERYWHERE. It was disgusting. Mostly POGs tho, but dammit your still in the Army.

And even if your Navy/AF, you are still in the military. You might not be boots on the ground but you are still apart of a fighting force. You still kill people. Look like a killer. Idc what your MOS is.

The most badass fit guy I know was AF Special Forces.

But yes they do need to change some of the tape test requirements bc its asking naturally Football player built dudes in great shape to starve themselves.

But we also gotta admit there are ALOT of fat fuks in the military and it starts with LEADERSHIP.

Evolve on that.

Posted in the other thread, but it doesn't take in-shape people to do this:

If you're talking war with any Super Power (we're all dead) it'll come down to letting these fly until neither side has any left.
60 years ago the Tsar Bomb was dropped with a yield 3,000 times the size of nukes dropped on Japan.
Even a bunch of "mid" nukes would be hundreds of times more devastating than those weapons and those can be put on long range missiles.

Amount of nuclear weapons and a delivery system are all that matter and every Super Power has this. North Korea for example has shown they can hit any American target with these things.

That's why deescalation is vital.
