yeah, he ain't him. He gonna be Danny Ferry 2.0.I don’t even feel like Flagg will have the kind of impact to warrant this unlike Wemby

Also it’s a bit ironic that when this thread was made OKC and Houston were the two tanking teams the basketball world was fed up with, now they’re the top two seeds in the West. You think their front offices regret tanking?![]()
the discourse has always been around since we started publicly acknowledging that some teams are bad for business. The discourse started because of Philadelphia’s “process” 12 years ago. And look at them now

Using the Philadelphia 76ers for any measurement of anything is your first mistake. Literally any other team would have succeeded with the way we had things lined up. We're a special case of its ownThe discourse started because of Philadelphia’s “process” 12 years ago. And look at them now

He's the most hyped and talented White American Prospect since Bird.I don’t even feel like Flagg will have the kind of impact to warrant this unlike Wemby

Which team is tanking that you think should be trying their hardest to win 30 games?
If I’m a Philly fan I’d much rather tank a lost season than try to maybe get the 10 seed in the play in then lose your pick to OKC
Silver is awfulThis is a fault of the trading 'protections', which I hate.
If Philly owes OKC a 1st round pick over the next 2-3 years, then OKC should get to decide if they are taking their own pick after the draft lottery. That could cut down on tanking if you dont know if you will keep your pick or not.
Heard a recent podcast that talked about way to cut down on this. There is no clear winner of a way to do it. Cut down the revenue share. Make the lottery a 2 year rolling average for record. The top 2 picks go to #4 and #5, bottom 3 get #3-#5. We gotta figure something out, cause its out of hand.

More like dumb desperate owners not thinking long term. Pretty much all them #1 picks for Lakers and Celtics came from trades where teams would trade future firsts with no protections for some past prime former all star.Poor owners was trading dem picks for cash. shyt was hilarious.

Or we just have to accept that if you’re a team that’s bound to miss the playoffs you stand more to gain by winning 20 games than 30
Like sure New Orleans could try to play Zion & CJ in as many games as possible down the stretch to give them a better chance to win but when you’re not going to make the playoffs regardless, what’s the point?
