300 murders a year
yup. bulls have Thibs, capspace, 2 1st rounders, mirotic, :noah: and in theory :rose: all coming next season.
These dudes talking like he coming to play alongside mike dunleavy and tony snell or something :russ:

We cleared the decks and over achieved that's a much better selling point than having 2 superstars down 0-2 and sitting in ny "rebuilding" at his age

Negativity (Kayfabe)
Melo onlY HAS himself to blame, run in his mouth since the beginning bout being a free agent and tryin to muscle the FO

that was a play to make it on them and Phil just shot back at him
Really? They want dude to take less money to play with the mediocre roster they have. To play under one of the worst front offices in sports? After the season the Knick just had and the monstrous season Melo had they want him to take less? Thats just insulting to me.

The cap went up.. The Bulls can offer him a max deal

How can they offer him a 5th year and $129M total? It's also doubtful he'd sign up for more knee problems and Noah's feet. Like he said “the grass is not always greener” and I believe it's just not in the CHI

If he wants to stay in New York AND have a shot at winning.... Yes, he should take a paycut.

If he wants the supermax, then I'd prefer that he leaves. I don't hold any grudges against him, he played his ass off this year for a terrible team that waffled between not caring, and barely caring.. and he deserves another big paycheck. Get paid, young black man.... get paid.

BUT. Giving him the supermax in New York would be detrimental to our longterm success. You COULD argue that Melo has ALREADY decimated the Knicks future once, by forcing them to give up young assets.... but I'll leave that to the next man to do.

Teams like the Bulls and Rockets were already better without melo, than the Knicks were WITH Melo... so even if there are concerns about Dwight, Harden, Lin, Rose or Noah... you're starting from a better place, with a better coach, and a better roster.

He isn't going to be worth the supermax. The knicks shouldn't give it to him.

Idk where he goes but I still don't understand why everyone thinks he is going to take less money and years to possibly play for 2 teams not making it out the first round?

Its going to be a sign and trade for assets, if he was really about winning he would go to the Heat on some collusion type deal.

At this point, his only shot at winning is going to Miami. :manny:
I know folks wanna say otherwise, but Riley did this shyt before and he'll do it again :shaq:

Can NY sign Melo to the Max and then trade him to the Rockets for James Harden?

:yeshrug:

Melo + Dwight >>>>>>>> Harden + Dwight

And getting Harden back if Melo leaves is better than anything that anybody else could possibly offer.

:ohhh: the Rockets got to throw in picks though

Edit: shyt I looked into the math behind it and if they throw in Asik (to match salaries) and they can keep the picks, the knicks could move tyson for at least a pick or two to somebody and have Asik play Center and he is another 2015 expiring.....
