I'm going to go outside the box and pick someone not on this list.

The Boss Sasha Banks
She could realistically be a contender for this list. I just want to see what she does with another push on the main roster of the E. I think there are other women who could give her a run for her money in the rest of the world too. Kana would be an obvious one, along with Gail, Awesome Kong, Nakajima, and Ivee in LU.

I can't see how it's not Okada by these criteria. If he gets a 5/5 score for "Draw" in 2015, no one else being discussed in this thread other than Nakamura should get higher than like a 2.

I can't speak to his promo ability, but nobody in the E is anywhere close to being as much of a "total package" as Okada and no other wrestling promotion is relevant enough for their guys to be considered on his level.

So the fans only care about Okada? Styles, Naka, Cena, Lethal, Rollins, Owens, ect. All fit that bill well breh. Just like Okada gets love in Japan, I'm sure there are some western boys that get the same investment from fans.

I overlooked Cena, obviously he's the biggest draw named in this thread by a huge margin.

None of the other guys have been "The Man" for a company bigger than bingo hall status. I guess Rollins is somewhat arguable.

Horrible list. None of them have any mic skill or character, yet you listed those as two of the most important things. Pentagon Jr is easily the best on the list, but why is he the only guy from Lucha Underground? Puma and Mil Muertes should be choices as well. Nobody from WWE except the indy guys? Only EC3 from TNA? It's very obvious the only thing you guys care about in this thread is "technical wrestling skill". OP why do you have Cena as one of your picks but he isn't available on the poll?

Best wrestler in the world right now is Bobby Lashley. Pentagon Jr. is the only person on this list that might be in the top 10-20.

The fact that draw is one of the important things but Cena and Lesnar aren't choices is absurd.

Cenas the only big draw that's full time in US wrestling. A case can be made that Reigns, Orton, and Ambrose are draws too on some level, they probably are.

Beyond that though, KO or Jay Lethal are not draws. On a scale where Jay Lethal is a 3/5 draw, prime Lex Luger is a 7/5.

Okadas a great worker, but the guy lacks charisma to me.

I put Lesnar at #1 easily. Nothing draws the viewer's attention like he does. AJ at #2, he should be their new Seth/DB workhorse.

Brock:
Ring- 5

Mic- 3, very limited but knows it, so extra points for not extending himself beyond his limits and sounding stupid.

Draw- 4.5/5

Gimmick- 5

AJ

Ring- 5

Mic- 3.5/5

Draw- 2/5

Gimmick- 4/5, he's a believable regular guy, the fans buy into it even if it's not larger than life.

Agree with most of this but I can't see how AJ is better on the mic than Brock. Lesnar has done some great mic work and his interactions with Kurt Angle were always entertaining. He just doesn't like to talk so he doesn't show it often but I think he's a decent talker.

If Brock wasn't doing the same suplex city bullshyt every match he'd be my number 1. I have him at number 2.

Easy answers, the poll was an afterthought so I couldn't get everyone on there. Orton, Ambrose, mil, puma, Aries, roode, iishi, Elgin, Briscoe, angle, hardy, castle, Cesaro, Wyatt, Harper and the list goes on. That's why the "other" option was added and I started a thread for comments.

Lesnar is pretty bland on the mic and the ring for me. He'd get flying grades in the other 3 categories and is definitely a contender.

OP made a best wrestler in the world thread, pretended to care about mic skills, character, and drawing power yet only included indy wrestlers and smark favorites in the poll.

I legitemately enjoy these guys :yeshrug:

Owens has an adept understanding of vocal storytelling. Cena is a damn good speaker too, corny but is natural and never forces himself into a promo. Naka might have the most character in the biz. As far as draw, Rollins, Cena, EC3 and Lethal have all drew for the companies lately.

Those are some of my thoughts. I can respect your thoughts too, but I don't pretend to care, I actually considered my reasoning. We just have different tastes my man.

I like Lashley, Lesnar and Pentagon, but would only consider Pentagon for a best in the world as he has a great character, mic work, gets great reactions, has great in ring skills and lives his life as a wrestler. Lesnar rarely shows up and is not a good promo man. He's one of the best at everything else. Lashley is pretty boring to me, but has a great look, decent mic skills and is a beast in the ring.

ROH do be looking like a roller rink, but I feel you. I'd say Lesnar too though. If he went to Japan, he'd shut it down.
