All that little dumb shyt like weed dispensaries, electric scooters, outlawing plastic bags, homeless trust fund baby cacs and most of all... gentrification. What they did to San Francisco, they want to replicate in DC and NYC. SF had the most extreme case of black flight of any major city. SF barely has any black people left. Oakland losing its black population at an alarming rate. Gentrification has run it’s full course in cities like SF. It was pretty much ethnic cleansing in Frisco. I expect the city of NY to start knocking down the projects and replacing them with million dollar condos like they did in SF.

One friend who is white and from Bay Ridge yeah she Catholic and BATshyt CRAZY

The other friend is Black and his BM is Black...she just ratchet as hell and is well aware that the system does not favor the father unless you are 100000% on your shyt.

If black nyc Folks want a traditional lifestyle and aren't making major bread, it's probably in their best interest to leave for the sake of their kids education. Something that is prevalent in NYC are cats who end up making "good" money with government jobs and can afford to leave the hood, but often don't make enough to move somewhere where they can give their kids access to good schools.

NYC is great if you are young and single or in a DINK relationship with no desire to have kids.

Most people I know that are thinking of moving or have moved have gone to places where the school quality is worse or no better than that of NYC schools.

Ive maintained the theory of the recent immigration surge in NYC is due to a lot of black people leaving the city.

Cant buy a home. Can’t afford to rent. Can’t afford food. Can’t afford a car. Definitely don’t want to send your kids to public schools. Can’t afford extra curricular activities for them either. Can’t defend yourselves from a large criminal element that is pervasive in poor communities.

I don’t blame them. Go where you are accepted and not tolerated.

The thing is NYC is significantly safer and has better public schools than where a lot of cats are moving to.

I know people that have moved to places like Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Philadelphia

Anyone moving to the South needs to have a 2-3 year plan to buy a home. I've got a coworker who brought his family down years ago, bought a starter home, finished the second home they had built a couple months ago and renting the first one out. I also know transplants who got comfortable renting a house for under a thousand Pre-Covid, now financially stuck because the $100-$200 annual rent increase + COL increases cancel your gains and keeps you Paycheck-to-paycheck. The days of driving down here with a beater and $500 are over.

People can pray for a crash all they want but the demand isn't going anywhere. Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas are still underpriced compared to similar cities for what they offer. Columbia SC, Augusta, Winston Salem/Greensboro are underrated too. But you have to bring that NY hustle down here too. They don't want to compromise, get caught up with the glamour of living in Florida near the beach and now they realize most cities there are just purple/red versions of the Northern city they left. Now you realize you made a mistake when your neighbors are trailer trash, drug dealers, and you're stuck in a dilapidated 2-Bedroom house for $1800 a month.

The majority of New York's black population has been Caribbean and African for quite sometime now.

Similarly, traditional black Los Angeles neighborhoods are all majority Latino now.

Yeah, they can stay where they are or go back to their people.
