Beal didn't request a trade like KD or stay home like Simmons, there was nothing to wait out. He would've had no issue showing up for 30 win Wizards teams going nowhere while he cashed checks, the NTC just guaranteed he had all the leverage if the day ever came that they wanted to trade him. Nothing about this scenario changes 6 months from now.
