It’s ok to agree to disagree, but when there are insults thrown your way when you simply go in a thread and voice an opinion without going at others is pretty sad and terrible. I don’t really post in this section a lot but people have told me that it was pretty terrible and now I understand why they say that. I’m more disappointed that there are mods on here who are biased as well. But then again, I’m newer to the Coli so that’s probably a norm here.
I know the subject is controversial and I even said it when this thread began, but I didn’t wanna hold back my feelings about Bey in comparison to MJ because I wanted to be honest and not have my feelings filtered. I don’t really talk a lot nor do I say a lot, but if I feel strongly about something I want to express it.
It’s ok that people don’t agree with Bey being better than MJ. That’s ok and very understandable, but to deny Bey’s talent and downplay her abilities is just crazy to me. and that’s what people continuously do. Not everyone has to be a fan of Bey’s. I’m not that kinda of supporter.. but it does feel like every time someone praises her or gives her respect, people treat it as if it’s blasphemous. As if she has no kind of talent whatsoever. As some who is passionate about music, I have a problem with that in particular.
There are actually people on here yes who say things like she has no talent whatsoever.
You have to understand: Beyoncé is at the pinnacle of entertainment. She is a global superstar, with money, cars, houses etc. She is married to a hero to many of the people on here... you understand where I'm going with this?
Many people who feel jealous like to kick down the very person who is having everything they wish they had 1% or 10% of.
It's society also: people are tough online, it's anonymous. I read an article about why nice people act like bullies online.
Many people, also have boring lives. They are at work and are bored and are like 'whatever someone says, I will ridicule it and troll them - just to pass the time and have a discussion'
No sane person can say 'she has no talent' or 'LeBron James is bad at basketball' but people LOVE this because it gives them a little sense of power, it's twisted and these very people don't even realize this is why they do it. They have 0 power in their life and this is their little power and fantasy trip.
Don't take it too serious really, because you can't give emotions to people like that. Enjoy what you enjoy, if someone is respectful and disagrees - that's cool, engage them. If they are basically sociopaths with an internet connection, ignore mode on.
