Shes had the GOAT marketing team behind her from the beginning and has had industry contacts since she was a child. Shes not the goat. Musically shes sub par. Vocally shes sub par. Shes a glorified karaoke singer who can dance somewhat ok for a popstar. She jumos on trends just like jay z to stay relevant. She cant hold a candle to people like whitney, sade, amy winehouse etc.

She's the greatest performer since MJ. And if she can go 30+ years like that nikka did...she'll be the GOAT regardless of gender.

Musically she might not be as talented as other artists...but she knows the right cultural chords to strike to not only stay relevant but also be thrust at the vanguard of most pop culture conversations....that's a talent that even FEWER people have.

She’s at 20 years with group and 15 years solo. Time will tell. But if her music doesn’t improve then it will be hard to include her in the GOAT category outside of performing.

Dancing has always been important in Black popular music and pop music in general.

James Brown
Michael Jackson
Prince etc.
The dancing was a big part of the skill set. Likewise the white imitators made it a big thing too - Elvis and them.

Beyoncé is clearly a better performer and artist than Whitney. Sure, Whitney would crack out a power ballad that Beyonce could never compete with in a live performance. But bey would have her in every other aspect. While doing a good power ballad herself.

Being a great singer does not make you a greet performer.

While dancing has always been a big for some performers the songs themselves were always bigger. Performing isn’t just dancing, your vocal performance the acting of singing was the centerpiece of any performance and matters more than the dancing part.
Also, please explain how Beyoncé is a better artist than Whitney with no classic albums to her name.

Regardless of whether she is the best or the greatest of all time I respect the time she puts in her craft. When I look at all the talentless famous people out there I consider it an insult to people like Beyoncé that they can be put on the same level. Imagine you spending all that time signing songs, going on tour, choreography and all that shyt, make it at the top of your craft and you supposed be considered at the same level of fame as some bytch who got fukked on camera. No wonder she wasn’t trying to be friends with Kim Kardashian. :pachaha:

Whitney Houston had the vocals and charm. Bey is more dynamic. Good singer. Great performer. Great charisma. I'd like to see Beyonce sing over slow and sentimental melodies like the oldies. Then I can make a more accurate comparison.

Whitney
:mjcry:

This is an absolute materpiece

Exactly

Kanye had one of the craziest concert experiences recently.... So did Drake, so did Jay-Z. None of them can dance but their concerts were still dope because of the catalog and experience

Just all special effects and BUT they had great music and everyone talked about those shows

Beyonce just did that but better maybe with dancing

It was still dope but don’t say she’s better than anyone in the past generations. Give her her own lane at least. MJ was doing shows like that in his 50’s with a much better and deeper catalogue.

Prince just needed a gotdamn guitar, and a couple bad bytches and his concerts were legendary. Nothing but music and skills. Singing, dancing, and doing it with a guitar in his hands.

She's a great performer for sure. but her marketing and managing is GOAT that's why she's still around.
Still gotta watch my back around white people tho so her performance doesn't move me at all.

I don't know man...half her stuff jacked from MJ, JJ and TT....

I feel weird calling her a GOAT when I already seen a good 90% of her shtick before. But she's a great performer no doubt.

Its not a diss to Beyonce to say that MJ is better.
Stans need to get out of their feelings.

MJ will always be the goat in a tier alone by himself but Beyonce is on the level right below him.
I can't imagine Bey doing a show mostly by herself

This is very easy to explain

1) Beyonce is a GOD in the gay community.
She's surpassed being a gay Icon the way tina turner, madonna, cher and those types were
she is like michael jackson, the beatles, and elvis all rolled into one to them.

2) Gays run the entertainment business.
She has made lifelong fans out of extremely influential and powerful people
this is why despite lagging behind her female cohorts in album sales, social media following, revenue streams -
she still towers above, or is right there with them in terms of popularity and visibility

3) Music standards have lowered for the general public :francis:
in the 80's and 90's the MUSIC had to be great and authentic. Now the VISUAL has to be great.
Her visuals are "Woke", but her music is bland and campy - and that's just fine for music consumers now. times have changed.

with all that said, Beyonce has turned herself into a brand, a movement, an icon. somebody that has really surpassed music altogether.

as a music snob, she's nothing to me, but to the masses she's something to behold. can't take that away from her. :manny:
So really,... beyonce didn't turn herself into anything... the "machine" did...
Her is the craziest thing about all this... imo.
When i was younger and Jayz was "that nikka"... the icon that black men wanted to be like... and black women wanted to be with...
I was saying that he was put in that position. I felt like there were way better MCs and artist out there that didnt get the same Push...
Jayz... at the time, had the influence to make blacks drink a certain drink, drive a certain car...wear certain clothing brands.
Is it a coincidence that the woman that he got with became raised up to this level?:jbhmm:
