My brother's keeper
I don´t feel like going back but if you got time google #bothsides in summer 24 and I promise you´ll see people expressing the rope a dope strategy of voting for republicans to get democrat goodies.
those people were always idiots. you'll also find people saying that just being anti Trump was not enough. The first week or so Kamala was talking about funding and support for black small businesses. She ended talking about how much she had in common with the Cheney's and Mark Cuban telling billionaires there was nothing to worry about.

How many tyines you going to push me on Trumps side? I told you who I voted for and that still wasn’t good enough.

Kamala Harris is trash. Joe Biden is trash. The Democratic Party is trash.

It’s that simple.

The Dems have another opportunity here with Trump back in the WH and becoming more unpopular by the day. He is quickly going to lame duck status.

There will be some sort of Blue Wave in 2026.

The question is how big?

And that depends on the Dems being serious about delivering. Not just going after the corruption and chaos of the 2nd Trump administration.

This also holds true for 2028.

The base of the Dem Party is getting more radicalized against status quo politics. I’ve never heard suburban wine moms and boomers talk about politics this year before. I’m in Maryland so it’s a safe blue state but it’s gotten hit hard by Trump/DOGE. We also saw what just happened in Virginia.

The Dem establishment is still powerful but it is weaker than it’s been. The 2024 Election loss of the WH, House and Senate was a huge blow to them. Anti-Establishment candidates are popping up across the country to run in primaries. And the ones that the DCCC and DSCC are backing esp the Senate candidates chosen by Schumer and Gillibrand are more centrist, more pro Israel, and more pro corporatism.

You’ll need more insurgents across the country doing what the Tea Party and MAGA did to the Republican Party after George W. Bush left office in 2009 with 30% approval and John McCain losing to Barack Obama in a huge blue wave.

I don’t have a problem admitting that.

I also don’t have a problem admitting I don’t need a hero. I don’t need Kamala Harris.. I don’t need Donald Trump.
That´s the issue maga and non Maga voters thinking that one vote one time was gonna solve anything. This is a democracy so everyone gets a say the majority and majority with money get more say though.

So yes people should vote for the lessor of two evils.

No they shouldn´t again the woke stuff is what killed the democrats and Democrat activists would push for that.

What you want and need is a return to normalcy good old boring politics of low to no tarriffs free trade and sensible regulations not government by tweet.

The “woke” era that began with Obama’s second term is over for now.

Even centrist Dems like Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill who won the governor races in VA and NJ leaned on some populist economic themes. On utilities. On data centers. Stuff people are feeling and seeing disrupt their lives.

Sure you could run on NIMBY data centers (which will be put in Black communities) but if you´re expecting an increase in taxes other than rolling back the donnie tax cuts or funding a bunch of social services that´s not happening.

Again that Coli consensus five minutes ago the Coli was cool with zero spend on food stamps if it meant that no immigrants wouldn´t get any.

If there’s one thing a Dem trifecta should do in 2029 (House, Senate, WH) is:

Repeal the 2017 Tax Cuts for the Rich

Repeal the One Ugly Trash Ass Bill that will destroy Medicaid

And go after DHS. Especially ICE.
