Scottie would be a great defensive matchup for MJ compared to the players that actually faced him in the 1990s.....tell me which meaningful game that happened in again?
Did you legit not watch a single postseason game in the 1990s?
You didn't see the Jazz put Byron Russell on MJ?
You didn't see the Pacers put Derrick McKey on MJ?
You didn't see the Knicks didn't put Anthony Mason on MJ?
You didn't see the Magic didn't put Nick Anderson on MJ?
You didn't see the Blazers didn't put Clyde Drexler on MJ?
Who can say with a straight face that those were better defenders than the 35 modern guys I named?
All five of those guys are longer than MJ and they all spent significant time guarding him in critical, difficult playoff series. Whenever a team had a longer defender that they could use on MJ, they used them. The difference between now and then is that the guys I named are FAR better defensively than any of those five guys or anyone else their height.
You wanna claim that Kawhi and Iggy and Butler are too slow for MJ's first step when Bryon fukking Russell was the man for Utah.

Or do you think that Jeff Hornacek, Reggie Miller, Chris Mullin, Penny Hardaway, Dennis Scott, John Starks, Dan Majerle, Richard Dumas, and Terry Porter were better options?
