Yeah let's go back to the 90's when the Bulls and Rockets combined for 8/10 titles in the decade. Or the 80s where the champion was a flip of the coin between the Celtics and Lakers. Do these old nikkas even think? :mjlol:

As good as Jordan was it wasn't a forgone conclusion that the Bulls would win..Knicks,Pavers,Houston,Utah,Phoenix were all stiff competition. ..

And people don't like to admit this but Jordan got a lot of help from the refs to win those titles:sas2:

Has anyone bothered to actually listen to his comments in full context or just go by that isolated quote and quickly reply? Don't worry, I know the answer....

He actually makes valid points about the over-reliance on 3 pointer and the marginalization of big men in today's game.

They need to bring back 1980s fouls back. Hard to shoot a three being hand checked

Bullshyt comment by a bullshyt analyst. So much talent doing shyt people aint never seen..

-You got Westbrook, Harden playing at a high levvel. Doing shyt only Lebron was doing.
- Kawhi leonard down in SAS excelling on both ends of the floor, even his 3P% is at a high level
- A 7'3 playing like wing player in New York :krs:
- Lavine, Wiggins and Towns in Minnesota
-Lebron, Kyrie and Love finally putting it together
-Derrick Rose playing well again.
-Giannis in Milwaukee
-Durant, Curry, Thompson and Green in Golden State
-Anthony Davis in New Orleans
- Charlotte got a good record :krs:
-Demar Derozan and Toronto
-Isiah Thomas and Boston

and all that other talent that's stagnating at the moment. All this shows is that Barkley is either biased towards the direction the league is going or he just dont watch basketball :yeshrug:

as far as so called death of the big men. That shyt is a myth. :mjlol:

It does feel like the Warriors vs the cavs will be a foregone conclusion for the finals. With Jordan he had lakers blazers suns supersonics then the jazz two times. The next year it was the Spurs and Houston had those 2 years in 94 and 95 but I had expected Shaq and penny magic for 95. Now it's like Warriors and whatever team Lebron is on. I don't expect to see the Spurs rockets okc or clippers making an appearance. I damn sure don't think any team in the east not named Cleveland Cavaliers is making it

The Jazz weren't that good. It was just good timing for them.

when the Jazz were reaching the Finals, the Rockets were :flabbynsick: and added more :flabbynsick::flabbynsick: in Barkley and Kevin Willis and the Lakers were a bunch of youngin. Who else was good in the west from 96-98:childplease:

if the current Warriors and Cavs better than anytime in the 90's besides the Bulls then why would it matter if MJ faced multiple teams? And u act like the 91 lakers were monsters or something :mjlol:

I'll take higher percentage shots anyday. Teams playing inside-out>>>>perimeter players dribbling for 20 seconds then chucking up a shots

Ugly games happen sometimes when you're actually allowed to play defense unlike this pussified stuff that's going on today. Left up to the league every game would be 120-118.

The Sonics, Knicks, Jazz, Heat, Suns, Pacers, etc. were all contenders during the 90s and had MVP winners/ candidates. These teams played competitively and made MJ and them earn their shyt. Not like this cakewalk today where we can call both conferences at the beginning of the season.

Jordan and Pippen, Stockton and Malone, Barkley and Johnson, GP and Kemp, Ewing and Starks...most contending teams had 2 stars during that time. If anything, there are more teams in today's NBA with 1 star (Cousins, AD, Lillard, Westbrook, etc.) while most of the Superstars are clicked up on 4 teams.
Those 90's teams outside of the Bulls weren't that good. Most of them had guys starting who wouldn't be in the NBA today. Guys like Bill Wellington, Irvin Johnson, etc. This is a much more talented NBA.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
It's because some other teams are afraid to make trades. Stop standing pat and make a move to contend (I'm really looking East at Boston and Toronto). Warriors made their move in the summer.

Boston wants to but with the picks they have it's gotta be a superstar because unless they get somebody that puts them over the top to be a legit contender it's smarter to continue the slow build

before the 2014-2015 season started, nobody thought he warriors were going to win. nikkaz on TheColi thought they were stupid for hiring Steve Kerr and thought he was a downgrade from Mark Jackson:mjlol:

who besides super Cavs fans thought the Cavs were going to win last year?:francis:

I guess its not a forgone conclusion now huh

2000-2008 was pretty shytty. Those Celtics - Lakers Finals are what restored tha feeling

This i agree with. Chuck is just grumpy grandpa thats what they do. We need old warriors frm the game like Charles Barkley to keep the game on its toes. At the very least you gonna either do your homework or tighten ya shyt up or think. And why would anyone feel any kinda way about what Chuck say anyway? He aint the God of Baseball wasnt even the best. Its all entertainment wwe shyt

No lies were told,

Outside of Golden State, Cleveland, San Antonio

Who really gotta chance to win a title out here (they'd have to beat one or two of the teams mentioned above in a 7-game series)

Not happening

Is he wrong? Lebron is going to his 7th NBA final in a row with no competition in the Leastern Conference again...

Wade saved this man in 2012 so salute to him but competition is trash...

Jordan went to 6/10 finals in the 90s... Everybody knows he probably went to the finals every year had he not retired in the mid 90s.
