Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (April 24, 2025)

Soon as I got Esquie's ability to swim, I prolonged my game by wandering around and exploring the overworld. I found some records, beat some of the giant nevrons that were scattered around the Act 1 areas, then wandered around collecting skills for Monoco by fighting everything I could find. I've found a bunch of records, and decent chunk of journal entries along the way.
Anyway, the downside is I grinded a bit too much. I sorta steamrolled the Visages and I started the area with the dancing nevrons, and I can beat the normal enemies just shooting at them without ever usinig any actual skills or actions at all. But I guess that means it's time to advance the story. Even when I'm running over enemies, I have fun just exploring.
P.S. that one rock that you have to dodge around 100 times before he self-destructs is a fun fight even though it's simple.

Im 78 hours in.
I've scoured the entire map. I went back to the Monolith and beat that boss that appears at the top. Now im able to triple hit 
Then i started farming Renoir Drafts.
I still have to beat that flying Serpent...i tried to fight him early on and got him down to 1/4 health but i could never time his explosion after he absorbs your AP...
after that i think im ready to end the game

FYI this might be the GOAT game to play after taking an edible...

That's a great fight...but I actually think
Clea is one of the best fights in the game. If not the best. Simon is the biggest test of skill, but thematically Clea and Alicia are peak.

I thought i was doing something when i got his health down the first time...then the cut scene started and the nikka popped back up like
then proceeded to hit me with some ridiculous combo that wiped my entire team.at that point, i just went to bed

Finshed at about 90 hours....what a journey...they restored the 90s RPG feeling with this 
. Easily a top 10 game of all time for me. turn based Stans won with this

The exploration adds to the fun. Each area is essentially 3 corridors u gotta pick from. I spent more time running around in this game than i did in BG3. the music + the parrying system NEVER got old, so although i didnt need to grind, i did it anyway 
I loved that Maelle ending too lmao
They about to sweep the awards on some Kendrick shyt...good luck next year game studios lol
