There's a lost Gestral near Esquie's Nest. Talk to him and he'll go back to your camp. Another Gestral named Sastro will appear and ask you to find his lost children.

Find 4 of them and you get the Paint Break ability and can break open those blue rocks.

I checked all over esquires nest and he’s not in there… I’ll check outside the nest on the map when I get home

I suggest you all check out one of the various spoiler free "secrets" guides because there's a gang of sh*t in this game you will probably never figure out randomly.

Lost Odyssey was so far ahead of it's time. That game would do wonders if it got a proper remaster.

I'm pretty certain that you can romance Lune instead. Just have to make the right choices with them beforehand.

I'm fukking with this heavy

I started on Expert but that first boss fukked me up since I didn't put any points into defensive stats. It was one fukk up and it was unrecoverable. Switched back now in Flying Waters after getting the new party member. Can eat a fukk up or two and now I have access to healing spells.

You can tell whoever made this game made something they wanted to play. As an RPG head this checks so many boxes

Sirene. The presentation here is immaculate. From the music and design, it reminded me a lot of Nier Replicant.

Also Monoco is great.

Yeah, Monoco is actually the best character of this archtype that I’ve ever played and I don’t usually like these style of characters due to their character design n such.

GOTY. The only thing I didn't like was the gradient/limit-break system. It was too difficult to get the gauge up, the fights where you needed it you couldn't charge it because you would get one-shot, then the fights you could get the gauge charged, you didn't need it.
