same for me I was crazy deep in the game before I picked up on it

Oh ok I thought I just wasn’t paying attention

What’s even crazier is after not playing for a few days and coming back not knowing which way is up and the game barely tells you what is going on

Yea they some cheesy sOB’s. Maelle gets a weapon that takes down two shields per shot once you level it up.

Also are the characters clearly stronger than the others or is it how you level them. Because i barely use Maelle but she be coming in a crushing shyt in my backup party.

Lastly I’m over 20 hours in and just realized how the pictos and Lumina work smh.

Game is fire, but this system is one of my few drawbacks.

Every time you get a new picto you gotta redo the builds

I’m almost done with Ghost of Yotei and while I like that game, I think E33 has GOTY safely wrapped up.

Same, I really liked GoY but Expedition 33 is just on another level.

I'm on the "Inside the Monolith" part.

Not sure if I'm underleveled or just didn't put enough points into defense, but a lot of these enemies here are basically one shotting me if I don't dodge


Might have to stop and grind for a quick minute, which I haven't had to do otherwise.

I just beat sirene ole cheating ass. I think I’m at end game so I’m going to find somewhere to level up. I want some of those extreme damage skills

Better idea is to venture through optional areas to get better pictos with def and hp stats.

Probably under leveled but you will have to learn how to not get hit more than once per opponent turn. That's why speed and parrying are key. You need to limit the times the enemy is on offense + you have to parry to win AP, do massive damage and if you have the right lumina, heal yourself.

Also, try playing around with your pictos/lumina. You'll start finding out formulas to either protect yourself better and give you more chances if you do get hit (instead of insta death or very depleted health) and/or ways to be on offense more than the enemy. As @Renkz said, do some exploring in other areas and go pictos hunting, you'll find a ton of useful shyt out there.

Since I don’t want to fight to e painteress and end the game yet. I went to go grind and I was told to go to the frozen hearts or whatever and level up. I’m around level 40 and they are kicking my ass. The fights last as long as I can successfully dodge or parry. This can’t be life.

You really should go fight the paintress. It unlocks pictos that make frozen heart bearable in the post game.

I was scared to finish the game and then not doing nothing but monster hunting.

you still have a bit to go
