I consider the Maelle ending the “good” ending. Verso basically made the whole mission pointless. Alicia had a better life in the canvas and everyone with the exception of Verso was happy to be there. He blew it all up because he was tired of living but he was the only one that felt that way. That place was fake but to the people inside it was very real.

This 2nd fight with Renoir :picard: pops got no chill

But I'm not gonna lie some of these enemy tactics seem cheap, particularly vanishing party members so you can't revive them :beli: also some of these enemies are getting way more turns than me

I'm hoping they actually start explaining something soon though. Verso and Renoir keep having these vague conversations but they won't come out and just explain what exactly they're beefing over. And I'm still trying to figure out where the Paintress came from and how/why she started killing people at a certain age. Maybe after this fight they'll explain the backstory a little more.
Soon all will be revealed

you afraid of the grind, try to tinker with your shyt first then go online it will be more fun that way lol
that's basically how I approach it as well lol. I do things the old fashioned way the first playthrough and then on the second playthrough I wreak havoc with cheesy builds and mods

Then they had the nerve to offer me his crusty ass sword. I was like if I beat you without out it I don’t need that shyt. Starting in S class was way more beneficial

I waited long enough im going to cop this during one of these black friday sales.

Last RPG i beat was Persona 3 Reload earlier this year and was looking for something to get into.

This and Ghost of Yotei and Borderlands 4 will be the main games in the rotation this winter

Copped the deluxe since it was on sale in the PS Store. My backlog is crazy but I gave it a quick run and I could see myself getting pretty addicted. Only thing is my timing was crazy hit or miss on parrying even against basic enemies. Hopefully I can get better with it, since my dodging is on point.

Pay closer attention to the sound of the attack than the animation. Some of the enemies and bosses have insane wind ups for even basic attacks. The sound won't steer you wrong though.

I'm taking my time with this joint. Spent extra time sharpening up my parries...I'm still inconsistent but a LOT better after taking the advice @hex mentioned of paying attention to the sound along with visuals. The funny thing is I found the first boss to be the easiest enemy to parry so far.

For the vets of the game, I have a question. How easy is it to miss content? Like, I've seen one boss that's way too OP for my team this early on and I also met the creature that's got no legs and keeps asking for light. I pressed past both because I didn't find an item to light the torch and I don't have the parrying skills for a boss with one-hit kills and enough health to take me 20 turns to body. But I don't want to miss going back to those plot points, so I'm scared to move too far ahead (right now, I saw a message about Maelle being to the North, so I'm about to travel there).

Also, are there secret/hidden areas to find? This game feels like it's designed to have some hidden stuff, but I've only found some items off to the sides in crates and boxes. It's so early that I'm not surprised, but I don't want to keep wandering areas if I'm just wasting time and making myself confused.
