ultimately, the fall is always on the consumer. The problem lies with both. The supplier drives the consumer action. The consumer falls for the supplier lures.

I wouldn't associate Apple's yearly iPhone releases with planned obsolescence.
Apple actually does a great job of supporting older units with software updates. Hell, I'm typing this on an old ass iPhone 5c, updated with the latest iOS release.
Had my galaxy s6 for almost two years....then I upgraded to this galaxy s8+Nope. As long as my phone works and is in good condition, i am not buying a new one just because. I still got a Galaxy 4.![]()
They all do the same stuff at this point. Why are you getting all emotional about it? this might hit to close to home for you
People feeling like their self worth or status is higher because they bought the Brand new iPhone
i think the hardware is slightly upgraded with each iterationOh yeah. Apple makes great products. I've used several. But I've never been sold on the iPhone. Every time I got a chance to upgrade to the latest iPhone with my plan I've declined.

What's the discerning element between iPhones and Android phones in 2017 other than the OS?
I never understood that.
I mean I got a galaxy s8+ but I don't be acting like my farts magically smell like rosemary because of it.
don't get me wrong, I have NO love for these corporations and I don't think they should be getting special breaks. But I don't feel like they are some evil conglomerate because they want to release new phones every year to make profit.
I mean, are we gonna start shytting on car companies because they make small incremental changes each year as well?
shyt, we could be shytting on products and companies all the time if that was the case.
consumers need some personal responsibility too.![]()
cars are debatably a scam as well.Yeah but if they build a defective product which is designed to go bad in a couple of years so customers are forced to buy a new one, that's different. Cars have much longer lifespans and are built with much greater quality and durability.
iPhones have great resell value though, your phone is barely worth 50 dollars nowI'm still using the same Huawei Mate 2 for like 3 years....Only spent like $200...y'all Iphone users keep getting ripped...
