Drake's trainer is a fukking moron. I've seen videos of shyt he's had Drake do before, and dude obviously has no clue what he's doing.
Not only is benching on a Smith machine easy (adds 100+ pounds to your bench) but its also dangerous; especially if you go heavy. Its an unnatural range of motion, and regular usage of it can fukk up your joints. Squatting on a Smith machine is even worse.
fukk that hotel excuse too. You got to A) find a hotel that has a suitable gym, B) find a real gym in the city your in, or C) work out a different body part. Drake is doing more harm than good benching on a Smith Machine. The fact that Drake's trainer thought it was a good look to post this shyt on Instagram shows me just how little of a clue he has.
has anyone ever applied this add a 100 pounds to your bench theory.
I never tried to do more than what I bench on it, to know if this is true.
if so, then that means I could get up with static and rom at my current like that.
plus, i don't think that is actually real as applied in nature.
I don't think you can lift 100 more pounds on smith machine.
getting your real static and rom lifting.
I, think that is some bro science shyt.
that has gone awry.
from the i wanna be swole for no good reason nineties.
that killed a bunch of great machines and even one mike mentzer.
used to train some of the tops guys exclusively.
plus, I think most bro-science and information on the internet and bodybuilding is coded exclusively for guys on shyt.
so, I take all the negative info on shyt.
either, i know.
or it seems like to much of a injury risk.
for a guy at my level to even fathom thinking and believing is real.
personally, I think all Olympic style equipment is setup for safety and not maximizing any ACTUAL REAL QUALITY LIFTS FROM YOUR REAL POWER STRENGTH level.
after being on older equipment that makes more sense from a personal non gym buddy weight program.
I think Olympic style equipment is designed to protect liability for the event/ gyms.
as opposed to lifting for a maximum personally as a fitness powerbuilding standpoint.
the liability the gym/event is protected by is.
was the equipment up to spec to enable someone to aid you in an accident.
past that, if you are alone one the gym with no spotter.
I say to find older equipment.
where the weight sits in the pockets of your power area for your lifts.
it is easier to rerack and safer from a non spot level.
as long as you use precautions and your safety system when you lift.
I have a better question..what kind of car(s) do you nikkas drive?
