Great era. I guess ESPN has transitioned to focusing on live sports now (which is probably the right decision, seeing there are a million talking heads sports shows nowadays).

That shyt wasn’t like it was now. Sports Reporters was on Sunday morning at like 9am, most people weren’t watching that shyt and it was the ONLY show that had any type of debate.

ESPN is all about that platform now, it’s all they do is argue/debate. shyt is what has destroyed ESPN IMO. You can’t even watch SportsCenter to get highlights because they don’t even fukking show them for real, 15 second segment and then it’s a wrap.

Yup I remember being home sick from school after catching Sports center in middle school and having to choose between Jeanette lee pool highlights and preschool programming..

Cold Pizza/ First take definitely helped to change that while PTI and ATH were taking off in the afternoon.

Great era. I guess ESPN has transitioned to focusing on live sports now (which is probably the right decision, seeing there are a million talking heads sports shows nowadays).

It comes on a 5. And PTI aint going anywhere. Neither is SAS or Greeny. The show's hook was different voices not a specific, polarizing personality. You cant survive on TV, or really in media in general without a personality that moves people one way or another. Now I do think that the "embrace debate" style format popularized by is going away. But talking heads arent going anywhere.
