From that game -OP posting gif of Tacklemond forcing KD to miss a shot makes no sense...
Let's take a look at KD numbers against GS this year...
March 3rd : 11 - 17 for 32 points
Feb 27th : 13 - 28 for 37
Feb 6th : 12 - 25 for 40
Don't see how it is possible to say a guy can guard the perimeter "even if it's Kevin Durant" when KD scored higher than his average against GS every single time they played this year on right around 50% shooting...it would seem that not only did Tacklemond not play good defense against KD in these games but no one played good defense in these games...
This is pretty much the equivalent of me trying to prop up Kawhi defensive ability and then I post a clip of him blocking Kyrie Irving shot...from the game in which Kyrie dropped 50 points on the Spurs in San Antonio and single handily beat them...
You know the funniest thing about this? Durant scored ONE basket while Draymond was guarding him. He scored all of two points when guarded by Green. I don't know what the fukk you were watching. Durant scored the majority of his points on Iggy, Barnes and Klay. Plus I mean who gives a fukk if Durant did score on Green? He's one of the most talented scores that's ever played the game.
Here's his made shots -
Here's the video footage of all Durant's FG makes/misses - NBA.com/Stats
Draymond guarded him on his 4th attempt, contesting the shot even after he was caught behind a screen - MISS
Draymond guarded him on his 12th attempt, contesting the shot with a hand directly in his face - MAKE
Draymond guarded him on his 13th attempt, picked Durant up from the start of the halfcourt, shadowed him down to the elbow and contested the shot - MISS
Draymond guarded him on his 14th attempt, defended on the wing, Durant tried to spin but Draymond was privy to it and blocked his turnaround J - MISS
Draymond guarded him on his 26th attempt (last shot of regulation), defended on the wing and contested the shot - MISS
Durant was 1 out of 5 when guarded by Draymond - all shots where Draymond guarded him without any help (even blocked one of his shots). 1 out of 5 field goals. This is all without mentioning there were a few times that Draymond was shadowing him on possessions by himself (forcing Durant to pass) and when he was playing good ball-deny defense on Durant too. Like @Malta said, Draymond was everywhere on defense - I don't know what game you watching to contest something as clear as that.
I'd say that's pretty good defense on Durant, wouldn't you? This sounds like you don't know what you're talking about, which comes as no surprise.
Furthermore it's not like Durant didn't put up #s against the Spurs either -
31 points on 13-20 shooting
28 points on 11-25 shooting
Since I know you have me on ignore, hopefully someone might tag you and copy and paste my post for you to see.
