what does that have to do with anything?
people are feeling positive emotions from interacting with chatbots and humans have been anthropomorphizing things and animals for a millennia so a robot that they can physically interact with and communicate with will likely be more welcomed than most pets.

I don't think that matters. there are literal audio recordings of repeated phrases that praise, or give motivation to listeners even though they weren't recorded for any specific person. thats popular with millions of people so an AI/robot that can speak to an individual knowing their personality and personal history would be much more effective than randoms.

You can mimic, but it will not yield the same results… You do have one thing right… the powers that be want to control everything you hear and see 24/7 so that the authentically righteous input has no chance to enter your brain space
it seems like you haven't accounted for a future with open source AI at all.

It’s Eliza all over again… That was the warning. It’s just with modern tech. It will end badly because humans are not designed to interact like this. We’re highly suggestible and programmable, but not automatons… not even close
i still don't see what the problem is cause we know there are bad actors who are human so lets say theres an AI that can be imbued with positive aspects of humanity that can convincingly propagate them to people because it would know how to communicate or convey any message to different people then that would be a good thing. tech like this can help counter cult leaders etc.
If thats the case then we’ll have bigger issues to worry about
I disagree, it may not be transparent in terms of layoffs right now but companies are buying/installing more intelligent systems that do not require that many people to maintain. A lot of new facilities systems are built w/lots of intelligence that they can initiate simple workflows based on certain preset criterias.Not coming for blue collar
AI is in its infancy just like the internet was some 25 years ago. When all we knew was AOL back then who woulda/coulda thought this is where we'd be in 2025. Where are they now: Landline (home phone service), Long distance telco providers? Taxi drivers? Toll collectors? Sending letters? Fax machines? CD/DVDs? Telephone booths? etc etc ... When was the last time a person from a "first world" economy traveled on vacation and even bothered w/the local taxi drivers? Everyone straight to Uber .. This wasnt available 15 years ago. How many people are not calling a handyman bec they can follow a youtube video?
AI is a baby right now, learning, in 15 - 20y, AI will be the equivalent of a college grad in terms of tech maturity. Keep sleepin'
A.I. needs to hurry up and unemploy these ceos
people with very little business acumen but who have in-demand skills will be able to go into business for themselves with AI holding their hands the entire way and managing finances, etc
