I thought the same, boy how things change :russ::dead:(:sadbron:). Dwight hitting a 3 and Casspi, Ronnie Brewer and the rest of the bench losing their shyt:mjlol:ahhhhh, the good ol days in David Lee, Richard Jefferson, and Jarrett Jack were logging a good amount of minutes for them :mjcry:
:francis: the one thing we never do is call Morey out for getting rick fired :snoop: and making sure Kevin is hired... i said this shyt before but Morey at the time when rick was here, wanted the rockets to be a jump shooting team with no plays and rick said fukk that... we ended up missing the playoffs by a few games with no star then morey gets him fired and hires Kevin and trade for harden... then we saw the mess that was Kevin... who was pretty much a yes man running the team how Morey wanted and fail... now he hired D'Antoni :snoop: another yes man and this will fail again, he should have hired that black guy who wanted to fix the team and get us playing more Def

Game 6 was one of the most embarrassing displays I've ever seen from a superstar, but y'all currently the best shot to take a series from GSW in the west, especially if you find an actual defender somewhere on this roster, so :yeshrug: hope it works out for you

I agree with all this and I gotta add that the Rockets could also use a little frontcourt help. A rebounder that can finish above the rim or at least finish at the rim. I wouldn't mind CP3 he's a pitbull, tuff, hit's big shots and can run the offense to lighten Harden's responsibility.

But if it comes down to getting either Blake Griffin or Paul Milsap give me Milsap. I don't think Blake Griffin is about that life when it comes to being an elite player in the playoffs and being serious about winning Chips.

Rockets Becoming More Serious Threat To Sign Chris Paul - RealGM Wiretap
The Houston Rockets have emerged as an "increasingly serious" threat to sign Chris Paul away from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Paul met with the Clippers on Tuesday and will meet again soon.

James Harden is among those who have advocated for the Rockets to sign Paul and he's conveyed that directly to him.

Paul would have signed with the Rockets in 2013 had the Clippers not hired Doc Rivers away from the Boston Celtics.

Rockets Focused On Trading Ryan Anderson If They Need Cap Space - RealGM Wiretap
The Houston Rockets have been focused on trying to find a team with cap space to absorb the contract of Ryan Anderson in order to pursue max free agency space.

Anderson is owed $19.6 million and $61.3 million in total over the next three seasons. The Sacramento Kings are one possibility as they have a need for a stretch-4 and Anderson is a native of the area.

Anderson had an excellent first season with the Rockets after signing from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Houston is pursuing Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, Blake Griffin and Paul Millsap in free agency.

Chris Paul Traded By Clippers To Rockets - RealGM Wiretap

Chris Paul has been traded by the Los Angeles Clippers to the Houston Rockets.

Paul agreed to the opt-in of his contract to allow the trade to happen.

The Clippers will receive Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams and a top-3 protected 2018 first round pick in exchange for Paul.

Paul had until Wednesday to opt out of the final season of his contract.

During a meeting on Tuesday, Paul informed the Clippers that he planned to sign with the Rockets in free agency unless they worked out a trade.

Interesting trade....we fleeced the Clippers, no doubt, but I'm not sure if Morey learned anything from the disastrous Dwight Howard signing. In the past, he was all about signing the best player available, chemistry be damned, but this past season it seemed like he started to understand the importance of team chemistry, and that the best player available is not always the best fit for your team. Time will tell on that front.

Also hearing that Harden was insistent on CP3 coming here....assuming he knows his usage rate will drop, I wonder if he's willingly sacrificing his individual stats/potential MVP run for the sake of winning. If so, much respect to him.

PS: Seems like Jerry West went to the Clippers to secretly sabotage them and preserve the Lakers' legacy in LA.

I respect that Morey is trying to really compete and not just giving up because nobody can compete with the warriors.

I miss my nikka pat bev but when you got the chance to get a sure fire hall of fame of with something left in the tank, it is what it is.

Still not sure how harden and cp3 is gonna work because we've seen point guards that need the ball in their hands not work with harden before (Lin & Lawson), but talent is talent and hope it works.:ehh:
