The Raekwon albums better.
That's not a great declaration from my vantage point, i didn't really like much of the production on Raes album
This has some dope highlights like 4th Disciple, Tom Jones joint, The Trial with GZA & Rae, Metaphysics etc.
I'm just at 4th Disciple now which is my favorite cut thus far production wise
I don't know, its mostly good music and rapping, but theres an overall lack of direction
Yeah I'm just realizing now half the tracks are just named after whoever did the beat or the name of the artist sampled, so I guess not to expect any type of topical cohesion on this, it's also just lazy from a emcee perspective, this is mixtape behavior, not what I want from a sequel to a classic on Nas label...
and some mid production here.
That was my biggest critique of Rae album, diassapinted to hear this suffers from the same issue, I guess I set a high bar of expectation with these albums because dropping through Nas label you have access to a farther reach of resources, I thought the artists woulda utilized that more especially in terms of production
The quality of Ghost's rapping varies from track to track.
at least Rae was on point lyrically on TENC
Where the hells the RZA?
Honestly I'm not sure at this point RZA is ever gonna give Wu fans the Wu sound they want ever again

If he named this anything other than SC 2 I think this would've been considered a nice return to form. A solid good album from a legend. But you slap the Supreme Clientele label on it and you're adjusting expectations. Personally, never thought this album had a chance of being even 50% as good as the OG. You can't be making bad music for over a decade and just flip a switch and get back to making heat again. That ship done sailed. So my expectations were low and honestly I think it's solid.

It's just a little too thrown together. The older songs stick out and most of them feel unfinished but despite that they still feel a level above the other shyt. Even the use of classic breaks and shyt, which is in the spirit of the original album, feels more on the nose and forced this time. Bro literally has a song called Break Beats....c'mon Starks :comeon:

Is that Nas feature produced by Hitboy? It's got his bland stink all over it :hhh:

All in all though it's..........fine. Not even Big Doe Rehab level but better than them weedplates he's been throwing out in auto-pilot for the last decade.

Couple weeks ago, I posted that I didn't think people would like these beats.

The issue with the project, is that it should've been cut by 50% of the songs. Album is too long, especially when Ghost made the exact same song on this project about 8-9 times. He should've kept it at about 11-12 joints, but with a consistent theme. And name it something else.

tried to listen to this, but Qobuz kept giving me the 404 error when I would try to access the album page. judging by some of these comments, maybe that's a good thing.
