From articles about the album, it doesn't seem like the double disc even exists. In 1997, it was originally supposed to be a double disc as advertised on The Firm. Nobody had a double disc. There was a bootlegs/advances version, but it was a single disc. The difference was that it had songs that eventually ended up on Lost Tapes, some other leaks, and songs that ended up on Nastradamus.

Even with Dr. Knockboot's FUKKERY, I AM has always been a personal classic:ahh:

...Amityville Horror intro to the cinematic closure of Undying Love:banderas:

All missing was You Won't See Me Tonight:rip: video to make the cypher complete:mjcry:

yea no one had the double disk and the bootlegs of it were songs supposed to be on the album but they weren't the finish product.

Half dope, half garbage.

2 of said garbage tracks had potential though and these are the only versions that exist to me...

Nas recorded so many classic songs and had so many great guest appearances around this time.

Album should have been classic. It's a 3.5 mics effort at best.

It's lucky "Undying Love" is the illest shyt written in music history let alone hip hop.

Very disappointing

Nas Is Like, NYSOM2, Undying Love and Hate Me Now are tough, everything else is mediocre or crappy (Dr Knockboots, Money Is My bytch)

I Am was supposed to be Nasir's Life After Death. The original concept of the album is brilliant and Source gave it 4.5 mics. I think the commercial release of I Am was mediocre but the real I Am is a certified classic. That period of Nasir's life is hella fascinating...trying to rebound from disappointment of The Firm, Jay knocking off Carmen while they were together, beefin w/ Mega, etc...

My most anticipated album of all-time. I was disappointed on the 6th of April, 1999 morning when I found out that my favourite tracks "blaze at 50", "fetus", and "drunk by myself" weren't on it. fukking bootleggers:mjcry:

with that being said, it was 4/5 album. Great album that could've been better.

The 718
First half is certified :ahh: but it really falls off after Ghetto Prisoners. Life Is What You Make It, Undying Love, and Nas Is Like are the only worthwhile tracks after that
