How good/bad was Nas' I Am...

Maybe im tripping, or just in New Orleans we didn't have a long standing hate for Nas for no apparent reason......
maybe its a East Coast thing or a Camel-Stan thing......to say Nas is whack or he dropped all dud albums....

Honestly ...... I Am..... is my favorite Nas album......from the CD cover to the booklet.....from Intro to Outro.......
I just loved this album, don't get me wrong it was few songs u can pass on....but shyt I have never found a album that had bangers
from to bottom.....besides G.Dep...Child of the Ghetto......

Going and Going....... I Am was a jamming ass album stupid classics.......replay value was crazy.......to put it all together
I was just jamming this album the past 2 weeks......nikka probably just hate to hate....but this album was solid....
Classic for me.......so many anthems on this joint u gotta crazy if try shyt on this album.....I never heard the bootleg
or street version....... just retail version and that thang was crazy still is.....

Project Windows, Life We Chose and Come Get Me were the only original cuts from The original I Am double disc, the rest of it was rushed because Nas said he really wanted to have at least 4 albums out by the year 2000, which added to the rushed and uneven sound.

that's like the dumbest excuse ever for dropping a half assed album.
i am was a very mediocre effort, it had a couple if really great stand out cuts, but the rest was garbage what made it worse was that at the time nas had caught a lot of flack for it was written and people were expecting nas to make up for what was back then considered to be a sophomore slump (don't get me wrong, i loved it was written, but that was how nas was looked at back then). he dropped nas is like and everybody was "nas is going to drop a classic", "hate me now" had some people salty for featuring puffy and being too commercial, but the beat was and then the album came out . as far as overall quality goes, nastradamus isn't worse, the only difference is that when nastradamus dropped, it had fans going because they had lost patience with nas. that, and it didn't have singles like nas is like or hate me now.

they didnt review the double album, i dont think nas ever got to the stage in making a final tracklist. The copy they did review was a little different than the final retail version though. It included songs like blaze a 50, poppa was a playa, etc.

In I AM... Nas was still very lyrically sharp(N.Y.S.O.M part 2,Hate me now,small world ,Nas is like) and was expanding subject matter(undying love etc)

And i see people shytting on that album which is very unfair to me

Favor for a Favor is pure heat. Prime Nas and Face. Both ripped. Nas is Like is obviously classic. NYSOM2 is heat. There are a couple of other hot tracks on that record. Overall, kind of uneven.

Copped that Nas is Like 12in when it came out. Cant think of a worse b-side to a classic single than Dr. Knockboots.
