That’s not HBP. Why are cats on in here talking about normal blood pressure?High blood pressure runs in my family
I’m usually around 123/74 all the time
Water, water, eliminate a lot of salt and exercise and cut out stress and anxiety

Not the Harlem diet, huh?Hot sauce?!
I got this too... I only eat green vegetables, nuts and white meat..
Drink nothing but water.. no juice, no alcohol (maybe a few wines every couple weeks), no coffee and no dairy
eating less than 8grams of saturated fat per day and absolutely no salt in my diet
My cardiologist prescribed me pills... I said fukk that shyt pal

Really not normal, my last BP reading was 104/59, at 123 you need to get to work. I hate "normal" standards in America because at that value you are only a few bad decisions from from hypertension. 120-129 is "elevated" per AHA standards, and you always want a Diastolic far below 80, 80 isn't ideal at all. That’s not HBP. Normal
Blood pressure numbers of less than 120/80 mm Hg are considered within the normal range. If your results fall into this category, stick with heart-healthy habits like following a balanced diet and getting regular exercise.
Elevated
Elevated blood pressure is when readings consistently range from 120-129 systolic and less than 80 mm Hg diastolic. People with elevated blood pressure are likely to develop high blood pressure unless steps are taken to control the condition.
Hypertension Stage 1
Hypertension Stage 1 is when blood pressure consistently ranges from 130-139 systolic or 80-89 mm Hg diastolic. At this stage of high blood pressure, doctors are likely to prescribe lifestyle changes and may consider adding blood pressure medication based on your risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), such as heart attack or stroke.
Which number is more important?
Typically, more attention is given to systolic blood pressure (the first number) as a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease for people over 50. In most people, systolic blood pressure rises steadily with age due to the increasing stiffness of large arteries, long-term buildup of plaque and an increased incidence of cardiac and vascular disease.
However, either an elevated systolic or an elevated diastolic blood pressure reading may be used to make a diagnosis of high blood pressure. According to recent studies, the risk of death from ischemic heart disease and stroke doubles with every 20 mm Hg systolic or 10 mm Hg diastolic increase among people from age 40 to 89.
Get outta here with that shyt. You’re like 4 points above normal and acting like you have HBP.Really not normal, my last BP reading was 104/59, at 123 you need to get to work. You see, they even say that 120+ is elevated and you are at risk for high blood pressure and need to take steps towards corrective action. That's why I hate when people report "normal" at 120, you aren't normal, you are elevated and probably a year away from hypertension.
And on the numbers mattering:

What happened? You don't want to be sitting around with untreated HBP. I'm speaking from experience.
After a while of ignoring symptoms (that are obvious to me now that they were the result of HPB), I ended up in the hospital one night with both my systolic and diastolic readings in triple digits, the former approaching 200 (not a typo). What happened?
Bro the AHA say's 120 and above is elevated and at risk for hypertension. I'm literally quoting directly from the AHA, the people you get the "normal" value from, you are going off of outdated information, they changed that likely because people were going around saying 120+ is normal, it's not. I aiming for <100, tbh, and it should be the aim of most, because with that, you are drastically removing yourself from the probability of hypertension.Get outta here with that shyt. I wish i could remain at your level. Get at me when you’re actually taking pills for this shyt. Until then…![]()
