it doesn't makes sense to eyeball someone up and down,

decide to ask me for personal info and my time
then ask me to spend money, when I dont know you from adam and probably didn't even get the same visual experience

like my job had a after hours thing yesterday.
they wanted us to come out and spend time as a team and build or whatever
they didn't ask us to bring money
they provided food and drinks and prizes lol

i invite someone to my house,
i am going to give them food and drink
i am not going to ask them to bring a meal

etc.

if you feel like it's shady, then maybe you shouldn't be there in the first place!
