Keri Hillson had more impact then Amerie for sure. Amerie is the one who had limited success.

Here's a thread or discussion someone needs to start, the music industry/labels/managers are controlling the narrative of black women in the industry far too much to the point they have pushed them out the door entirely.

I understand you may like Amerie better but with all due respect, fukk what you like. You got to take that out of the equation when talking about stars in a conversation like this. In reality Amerie had only one real hit, one! and a minor hit with Why Don't We Fall In Love that charted top 40 but it was popping on Bet at that time with her video. Keri Hilson had more of a run then Amerie ever did and that is fact and can be supported by numbers. You may argue Amerie was more impactful or talented but she was not a bigger star.

Forget Top 100 and I'm not speaking on the R and B or hiphop charts either. I'm speaking on the chart for airplay among hiphop and Rnb singles which is one of the components that make up chart placement on those charts you're speaking of. Basically what that means is when it comes to the airplay of her single(radio spins) when you compare it to the other hiphop and rnb singles out right now she has had the most radio spins for 15 weeks in a row which is not an easy thing, especially considering she originally released boo'd up a year ago in 2017 on her EP. For comparison, Hotline Bling is tied with her record right now having the most airplay for 15 weeks in a row too.

Mariah may have placed higher on some of her singles because more people bought the singles and other factors that go into chart placement, however Ella Mai has had more radio spins on her single among the competition right now. This is in comparison to Mariah when she released her hit singles among the competition back then. With that said it's no comparison, Mariah has more hits and bigger hits along with a legendary career but Ella has beat her when it comes to air play is all, and she is now only behind Miguel who had 23 weeks with Adorn. She is tied with Mary as the highest women on the chart.
