One other thing, I wanted to address that I meant to before is this whole notion that Aaliyah couldn't sing. This isn't just something I've seen applied to Aaliyah, but people have even said it about other artists as well. I've even seen posters on here claim Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys couldn't sing. It's the biggest exposal between posters knowing what they are talking about and posters just spewing garbage based on emotion. Singing off key or out of tune is bad singing. Having issues with someone's vocals because you personally perceive them to be weak or sub-par =/= bad singing. That's your personal preferences.

Where's proof of Aaliyah consistently singing off key or out of tune.

They actually didn't. Nowhere in Brandys career from 1994 to 2001 did she take a hiatus. She either worked on her show, an album, or a movie. All of the big acts from that era put themselves out there nonstop and unfortunately Aaliyah never did that. She took a five year hiatus when she was still a new artist when really she should've kept pumping out albums ever 1 to 2 years to build up a solid fanbase.

Aaliyah was a middle of the pack artist. She had a fan base, but her career has been greatly enhanced by nostalgia. It's funny that you try to belittle Beyonce's career by calling her manufactured and soul less when that's exactly how Aaliyah was viewed when she was alive. I'm assuming you're young, because most of the people that hold Aaliyah up on a pedestal didn't actually witness her career when she was alive. So I'm not going to hold your ignorance against you.

You're contradicting yourself. If everybody is telling me she can't sing, how is anyone agreeing with me? And id you want to bring age into thos, how old are the people agreeing with you?

You cited drama as the reason why she took 4 years off, when in reality, Monica took a year off (2001 im which she still out a single out for a soundtrack). Furthermore, the C-Murder stuff had nothing to do with her hiatus. You're in here making excuses because as usual you don't know what you're talking about.
