One size doesnt fit all, everyone is truly the expert in their own path. They can take notes from others and use them and throw them away as needed, which I think is what we're trying to do, maybe. I'm just not a fan of advice(outside of moral/ethics) saying we should all follow a path that's usually centered on money. Alot of families struggled with the kids and still had great outcomes in life years later.
Alot of the advice is based on having unlimited liesure time for yourself. I'm not against liesure either, it's a great thing, but money and selfish pursuits(sp?) can blind us to other kinds of wisdom that harship and struggle teaches us.
I can agree with that. I think where each generation goes wrong is that they think they understand what the current young people are going through.
Technology, laws, jobs, environment, dating etc is WAY different now than it was 10 or 20 years ago.
It is very difficult times, especially for those stuck in long ago mindsets of "manhood".
Threadstarter is basically saying he going all the way, no matter what, for his family.
He will work to death.
I think we have to be super careful of the advice we give, and make sure its not some shyt we theorise, yet based on reality and facts.
I agree though.
