Says who?

Cultural impact> Hits

The example of Shook ones pt 2 is a good one, I think more of you need to start tuning into this because most of you make comments which are way off the mark.

That all depends on who is battling. Cultural impact didn't help Mannie.

No disrespect but this is pure stan shyt. These battles have been going on for months yet you still don't get that the amount of hits dictates who wins more often than not...especially in the rapper v rapper battles? Hov probably has 2-3 times as many hit records as Nas, if not more. NYSOMII, a (dope) song that no one outside of Nas fans cares about, is going to beat HARD KNOCK LIFE? Stop it fam.

Yes it is because its a better song. I don't care if cacs know Hard Knock Life more.

It's not a bunch of "real hip hop heads" sitting in their dark rooms keeping score and getting mad when Hov plays Run This Town instead of Where I'm From.

That's is gonna be me though :mjcry:

It wasn’t available to purchase as a single so that point is irrelevant.
So how are u trying to argue with a song that wasn’t available for purchase vs a song that has PROVEN accomplishments and accolades? :dahell:

Why doesn’t Nas have a Grammy for not even ONE song or album if his cultural impact and influence is so much greater than Jay Z’s? :dahell:

Says the audience that’s been watching all these battles I think you need to get more in touch with reality.

One song was available for sale. The other wasn’t. So you can’t argue one went double platinum because the other wasn’t available for sale.

there are proven accomplishments for both songs. How they charted. Which was essentially the same.

plus, if you were around in real time they were both big records. I’d argue Made You Look was a bigger record.

Grammies are irrelevant to the culture. I’m not even sure we are talking about the same thing since you are bringing up Grammies.
